How often do you all play D&D/whatever TTRPG you generally use?
I haven't played in 5 months please help me I beg you

That’s almost half a year. Have you looked around for local groups that seem to be in alignment with your beliefs and play style? Gameshops might have some gaming groups open for another person. My DM is like 40, and all the players are 13 or older (no ones like, 18, were all within like middle area Teenager for the most part) and I met them at a game shop, something was setup online talking about it and our mom asked us if we’d be interested. Turns out, amazing DM, and great players. Everyone’s politics are fine too, no Homophobia or Racism. I’d considered this when I started actually playing D&D, not a random library event with 7 people who are interested to varying extents. (Some people just wanna hit stuff or care little for any RP or teamwork) or something like that
Granted it started as 2hr sessions with 14 people, then split into a younger kid and older kid rooms, and finally the DM started a game at his house with the players most interested in playing TTRPGS (some people were fun as a person but like, played a literal shrimp with a banjo) So I’ve had a good experience with that but I can’t guarantee it’ll work for you
Wait, do you have a group and it’s just scheduling? That would be nuts
My group kinda broke apart because some of the members went to college. Even before that scheduling was a nightmare though, we maybe got together once every two or three weeks.

Name your top three ranged energy weapons. From movies, shows, books, whatever. Oh uh hand held. We'll save the wave motion gun for another question=)
1 - The Phaser. You have an energy beam that can knock down, knock out, burn through, or disintegrate anything it is shot at, depending on what setting you use. Plus, it recharges when just being stowed.
2 - The Blaster. It is an endlessly ammo's up weapon that shoots energy bullets.
3 - TNC-47 PAPW. The Pappy, or Personal Anti-Personnel Weapon, discharges a focused burst of demiplasma at a range of up to 30 feet that is basically a giant taser without safety protocols. Used for boarding purposes. Not a good idea to be putting holes in ships in space. First, they are expensive to make; second, air ain't free.
That's Star Trek, Star Wars, and my own shit I made up when I was like 17, lol.

Star Wars fan here.
The Mandolorian Rifle Clone Troopers Rifles and Pistol Rifle hybrids
Clone Troopers are honestly my favorite massive army in Star Wars. I feel bad when they die sometimes, and anyone’s who’s watched Clone Wars knows how many of them are dying. The amount of on screen Clone deaths in total is something nuts, I can’t remember it but you can find it online

1: The Wave Beam from the Metroid series. Powerful, chargeable shots that go through walls and have infinite ammo.
2: I'm not sure if this totally counts but a lot of the special weapons from the Splatoon series are really cool. Powerful blasts with a huge hit radius and insane damage. The Ink Vac, Booyah Bomb, Sting Ray, and Rainmaker especially stand out. Pretty good range and rechargeability too.
3: I can't leave out all of the blasters in Star Wars. Tons of different variants and power levels, and the smaller ones don't even seem to have recoil, including the huge gatling guns used in The Clone Wars.

I know there's a thread for this but I absolutely love your PFP (Summoning Dark) is it from something?
Thank you much. It's V from V is for Vendetta by Alan Moore. One of the best graphic novels ever written. He is an artistic anarchist dressed as Guy Fawkes and obsessed with the letter v.

It's supposed to be about once a month but we've had to skip a month or two regularly. We are hoping to switch our main campaign from the first Sunday of every month to every other week. We'll also shorten the sessions from four hours to two so that it isn't as big of a time commitment. I also might be DMing a new campaign soon and we are shooting for every other week with that one too.

I’ve seen that mask before I jsut didn’t know what it belonged too. I’ll definitely read it sometime, apparently there’s a movie too with what looks like the actor of Padme but it’s rated R and I imagine it’s not for sex or lots of cursing (I don’t really watch R movies all that often, and I’m aware the books will have the same themes but books bother me less a lot of the time) it looks really cool

The mask is a Guy Fawkes mask. I haven't seen the movie but the book is fantastic. From what I've heard, the book is far more inappropriate than the movie.

From my understanding, V is an awful human being who just happens to have an extremely noble and inspiring goal that drives the people around him to fight for their dreams.

Sounds awesome, actually.
That's pretty accurate. He is a terrorist and murderers tons of people for his overarching plan. I won't go into it all the insane things he has done so as not to spoil the book but he is never portrayed as an example of moral character. He's more of a force of nature and the other characters in the story have to figure out what to do with him.

In-person games just ended before the 2024 rules came out. The GM wants to familiarize themselves before they start the next campaign.
Everyday here on the PbP games.

Yes, she wants to be well versed before starting the campaign. Reading and understanding the PHB and DMG front to back takes time.
