Whether in person, virtual, or play by post/email - what is it about the Dungeon Master (Or Game Masters, if it's not D&D) - that you enjoy? What are some traits about that DM/GM that make them shine?
They know when to sit back and let the players riff off each other; bonus points if they can cause that to happen.
Good! Done with camp. Just chillin at home till school starts in a little less than a month. Hbu?
Cannot complain. I'm enjoying Olympics memes and I've been playing Alan Wake 2, with which I am currently obsessed. Top-notch stuff.
It's funny that I'm chatting with people in school. I completed the final exam I'll ever take in 2016, in grad school. You know what sucks though? I still get nightmares about school and exams. I suspect I will forever.

Me too lol. Exams are rough. Even in high school. At least at my high school.

I really like D&D, especially Ravenloft and Forgotten Realms. My pronouns are she/they.
I like reading and writing too, but I’m not much of an artist.
they are supposed to be tough but you think they are hard here in the US? try the English colleges - 3.5 years of classes and then ALL the exams in the last semester, If you don't really know your stuff you've had it - no cramming for the test you have to integrate everything into what you already know all the way along. On the other hand you'll have it all for the rest of your life probably without ever having to relearn it. work for that goal in HS and college (and everything after) is easy.
Yeah, my first year of grad school was like that. We had three major exams at the end of the year, all within the span of about two weeks. If you fail them, you're kicked out. But my nightmares are all of high school and college. You know the ones where you're late for the exam of a class you didn't know you were enrolled in and so on.
I'm finer than frog hair split four ways. Just got back from camping. Usually I camp in the forested mountains but this time we went to a marsh (in Appalachia so there were still mountains). Saw Cesspool Cave and explored the river and swamp while hunting for a beaver dam I never actually found. I've also been street performing and it's been really fun to dress up as a clown and juggle with professional freaks and artists. College starts back up again soon but I'm looking forward to that as well.

I've analyzed your post with a magnifying glass and lemon juice, and I've concluded that I love everything about it.
I could ask this in the mechanics section - but why not here, because you guys are awesome!
So if a Tabaxi (who gets their natural claw attack, 1d6+STR Bonus) - if they choose Path of the Beast (Barbarian) - they also get a Claw attack (1d6+STR).
So there'd be no real reason, other than being able to get a second claw attack if they use the Beast Claw (rather than their natural claw).
Would you as a DM up the damage of their Beast claw attack? To 1d8+STR or just leave it because they functionally get two attacks?
Claws. Each of your hands transforms into a claw, which you can use as a weapon if it’s empty. It deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action.
It's only been available to certain youtubers and Gencon attendees, right?
as far as I know I believe so, yes. But these forums see a shedload of traffic from folks likely inclined to attend gencon if able, and this is a fairly well traveled thread, so I figured it might be worth asking. Especially as the thread had gone a bit quiet for a few days and I figured it could use a shot in the arm.

QOTD. How's everybody doing?

somehow, I never had those nightmares. of course, reading Encyclopedia Brittanica in grades 7-9 helped make most all exams easy into Grad school.

Especially in high school. At least in college and beyond, you get to choose the major subjects you're taking.

I wouldn't change anything. The second attack justifies the ability. Then again, d6 to d8 is not a huge power boost.
And yes we are awesome.

I would increase the die to 1d8 because I think it would be more fun.
Those are the magic words!
I would leave the damage the same.
