They make their way through a labyrinth of underground passages. Flint hums quietly, the notes resonating off the curved walls. He likes it down here. They crawl through an especially tight and foul pipe until they are in a stone chamber. It looks like a regular sewer, except from one of the grilles, there is a stream of perfectly pure water. Well, not pure for long, as it soon intermingles with the rest of the filth. There's a ragged mat next to the grille, which is where Flint usually sits to meditate. The only light, which is muted and weak, comes from a grate in the ceiling, and there is a net across the channel which Flint set up to catch any 'valuables'. 'What do you think?'

Flint appreciates Broomtail very much. He follows him down into the sewers. Broomtail, being a broom, is not too happy with the cleanliness, but gets on very well with the rats
