Btw D&D basilisks and Harry Potter basilisks are incorrect, according to people like Pliny the Elder they're actually very small snakes that whistle when they move to ward off predators (like a rattlesnake rattles) and they have a bald crown on their heads (which I believe they get their name Basilisk from)

Speaking of Atlanta, Meleager fathered Parthenopeus with Atlanta. He was one of the Argonauts and was the host of the Calydonian boar hunt. He was either the son of Ares or the son of some king, scholars aren't sure which.
When Meleager was born, the Moirai (Fates) said that he would only live as long as a log burning in the fireplace was left unconsumed by the flames. Hearing this, his mother immediately doused the flames and granted him a form of immortality.
There was a boar that was terrorizing his country and he got a bunch of warriors together to go hunting for it. Atlanta joined them and Meleager killed two centaurs that tried to attack Atlanta. Later, Atlanta wounded the boar and Meleager killed it. He awarded Atlanta the prize which got a bunch of the other hunters angry and Meleager eventually killed them all in an argument. Enraged, a sister of the hunters that Meleager killed found his special log and burned it which killed him, fulfilling his destiny.
Meleager's sisters turned into guineafowl as a result of his death and it is said (by Pliny) that amber is formed by their tears over his death.
Later, when Heracles went to the underworld, Meleager was the only shade who didn't flee from his presence. In fact, he sat there shining his armor and he eventually convinced Heracles to marry one of his sisters when he returned to the world of the living.
I’d love to see Athens tho ofc. Greece peaked in like 400 BC and it sucks to see that a lot of the modern policies are kind of terrible.

Yup. My little account was very much simplified because I didn't feel like looking up every character's name.
