*I'd say it goes as planned. I mean, with all they've been through, the least they deserve is a moment of respite.*
Yvonne and Elsanova follow close behind. The trip to the outer perimeter of the Lair proper is a relatively quick one, only taking about an hour at the trio's moderate pace. Yvonne looks up at the Lair's mountain, equal parts relieved and reminiscent.
"After everything that we've been through... it's good to be home."
*That's true, they do deserve that much*
The king nods, allowing himself a smile. "Its been far too long. We're back, and at least partially in one piece." Its been a tough journey... the king tries not to let his guard down too much, but his shoulders visibly drop after the feeling of being back home.
*The meeting of the trio with this version of the guild should be interesting, to say the least. Bearing in mind its the middle of the night, do you think we should go head in with the meeting of the 2 kings an the queen, or play on the confusion people might suffer at there being another Drummer for a while?*

The king marches in behind them, putting on his best brave face for anyone he sees. The guilds lifeform detectors remain untriggered, recognising the Queen, Elsa and the King. Its not programmed to go off if two of the same beings are detected in the guild, as typically something like this would never happen. Its not even as if someone's pretending to be the guild royalty- the trio is an exact match, better then even the most powerful of spells could create.
Its just past midnight at this point, and the guild is asleep. A few guards walk past, shock flashing in their eyes when they see the queen, as she's been absent/dead for quite some time. But they turn away when the king glares at them, him thinking they're being rude and staring because of the trios damaged state. This sparks a slight confusion in him, why would everyone be shocked at the sight of Yvonne, and not him? Has he not been gone for some time as well? He drops the thought though, deciding that the guild must just have that much more respect for their queen. He continues walking.
Meanwhile, the other king has left his quarters. He knows somethings up- he silently begins to scout the hallways.

Yvonne seems a little confused as well: Sure, she's been gone for a while, and the trio is in a rather sorry state, but the King and Elsa have been gone for just as long. She internally chalks it up to her being the only one with a missing limb.
Elsa is oblivious to this, looking around the Lair with equal parts nostalgia and comfort. They're lagging behind a bit, as their metal joints are still slightly damaged, but they're well enough to keep up, and don't seem bothered by their condition in the least.

*. . . wait a second. I could just steal something from myself! Here’s a devious DM plan.*
The players are on a quest to save a tasty dragon from a princess. The evil princess has held the dragon captive in a massive stone tower in the woods for several hours, and things are looking bleak. The characters have three options to save the dragon:
Scaling the Tower. Seems obvious, right? Just a few problems. The first is that the tower’s surface is almost perfectly smooth, requiring a DC 18 Athletics check every twenty yards to reach the top (at 100 yards, or meters or something). The second problem is the hair. It’s tangled, blonde, and evil, and once the characters get 2/3 of the way up, it reaches down through the top window to grab the players. They’d better succeed their Dex save, unless they’re willing to be grappled and thrown around a little let’s not forget about fall damage). The princess also drops broccoli and artichokes on the characters, which isn’t a huge issue but it’s still pretty gross.
Bargaining. Yeah, that’s not gonna work. The dragon is too delicious.
Subterfuge. The players can attempt to disguise themselves as the princess’s servants and sneak in, but there’s still a problem — each servant wears a pair of different-colored slippers to distinguish them. A player could steal one of the servant’s pair of slippers and attempt to impersonate them, but the slippers are really uncomfortable — enough to give one level of exhaustion for each hour of wearing them. This is especially inconvenient when a character is disguised as a butler during one of the princess’s famous 15-course meals.
However the characters try to save the dragon into stew, it’s gonna be really, really, unfun for them. Too bad, so sad. You’re the one that decided to adopt it, anyway.
*If this isn’t satisfactory I can make also something new.*

*This is going to be fun. Using the usual green for the king in the trios speech, and black for the other version of him*
The trio all know that logically, before they talk to anyone, they need to get to the emergency care bay, and meet up with clerics. This should hopefully be straightforward, as the medical policies state that wounded guild members should be healed to a suitable level first, before going under questioning for what happened. To give them the best chance of survival and as to not smother them in questions and extra stress.
Assuming nothing goes amiss in the mean time, the trio make it to the sick bay, ready to ask for assistance.
The other king looks at Amidais, bags under his focused eyes. He's giving off a strange aura, in both personal and magical way. Its late, somethings up- for the first time probably ever, towards Amidais, this king actually seems slightly hostile. Amidais would know better then most what the kings had to do lately- so its worryingly clear what's going on right now. The loss of his version of the queen still plays on the kings mind, he's so used to rulering at her side. The only person he could share the burdens of rule with, not only died, but he doesn't even know how long she wasn't really Yvonne for. Just some fake queen. He doesn't even have the time to grieve for her, losing a friend and having to move on kills him, slowly. He's started snarling, looking away from Amidais, down the hallway instead.
Mr Yondor discovered that the army appearing from out of the gape, another one of the many disasters that have plagued the kings rule, have large sources of adamantine, which they'll use for adamantine weapons. To break through the walls. And the king, along with Amidais's aid, has put so much effort into going through the old guild files, looking for anything on this doctor that attacked them. One person can only take so much, but he doesn't listen to anyone who tells him that.
"If I don't, who will?"
The broken kings auras have changed, they're darker, more angry. He's exhausted. He knows somethings entered the guild, he's not sure who or what they are, but he's going to kill them. He's been training harder then before, he's a lot stronger then he was. So many things keep breaking in, this has pushed him over the edge. He knows he's caving in, but he's denying it. He tried so hard to singlehandedly hold it all together, but whatever happens, he's going to destroy every problem in his path. The guild will be great again, unhindered by its enemies. The trio weren't there to help, they don't deserve a place here anymore.
The king begins his walk down the hallway, moonlight streaming in through the glass windows, embedded into the solid rock of the guild mountainside. His sword is in his right hand, the tip trailing across the floor, scraping and creating sparks as it runs along the cold stone. Beware, the monster of the mountain. All kneel before the ruler of the kingdom. All fall before the Spider King.

My evil idea is to have the party walk through a swamp (at night preferrably) then have some will o' wisps appear in the distance. If the party moves toward it, then the will o' wisps continue to stay the same distance away from them and leads them on top of a shambling mound.

put the will o' wisps in their path so that they force them to the shambling mound.
The Party slowly encroaches on a Caravan. Previously been enlisted by a "Scarred" Halfling. Each step they take is accompanied by the rain droplets. As they near the Caravan there is a sudden Bang from the inside. A Scream is heard shortly after. The party, if, they open the door is met with a Grimacing scene. The party's smallest member is appearntly on the floor dead. Yet they stand next to them all. If they had not opened the door and try to find a backway in, They are met with a sudden field of force around them, forcing to enter inside the caravan. If they choose to inspect the body, They must make a DC 20 wisdom saving throw or fear their soul being taken. If they choose to investigate the Caravan, the other members of the party bodies fall to the ground.

Damn, I can practically feel the horror vibes coming off that, and I love it. Would the scream be in the smallest members voice? Or something else? It would be even more interesting if they felt they recognised it.

"Its... raw, non-purified adamantine. The strongest material in existence. Used to make weapons and adamantine armor." His face remains shocked.

My evil idea is to have the party walk through a swamp (at night preferrably) then have some will o' wisps appear in the distance. If the party moves toward it, then the will o' wisps continue to stay the same distance away from them and leads them on top of a shambling mound.

That actually really cool! What's your plan b, if the characters don't go near them?

put the will o' wisps in their path so that they force them to the shambling mound.

I'm Gonna try to give ya a Devious Idea.

Yeah, sorry if I didn't clarify the Voice. I thought it was obvious that it was the Smallest Member.
