A form starts to come into focus between the 3 orbs. It looks like a floating humanoid form in a purple cloak. However nothing is inside it, and a floating omega sign appears where it's face should be.

It glides in through the door (while it's open, not some phasing through walls thing) and goes to the laboratory, and asks about some of the devices

You head into lab 3, and find guild engineers and researchers working away. They seem unfazed by you, there's a lot of weird people around these parts.

I want you to know. You are going to lose. You are going to lose badly. You’re going to lose badly and it’s going to be awesome.
Outside the base (sorry, Drummer, what's the entire guild's place look like?), a flash of dark maroon energy manifests itself, shifting space-time and shunting a cloaked figure out from the folds of reality. They rush up to the door.
(Here comes a little dose of lore: The guild was originally inside a massive mountain. But then a huge crack in the ground, created by a Dark energy that me and Yvonne were facing, charged throughout that land. It divided King Dragon Slayer's kingdom, and continued until reached the Guild, tearing the mountain in half. Luckily, the guild was able to move all it's members and most of its machinery onto an island that was floating via a loadstone (What is now the Floating Isle Inn). They then all moved to a new mountain, and the King started a new city for his people around the mountain. So that's what the guild looks like, a huge mountain lair at the center and a city circling around it.)
The door is open, no one is worried enough to meet you after all the other crazy stuff that has happened today.

May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.
Your party has just been commissioned to fight off a warband of gnolls that have been terrorizing the populace. A typical job for an adventurer.
You get there and start fighting them, and then one of the gnoll begins to shed his skin, revealing the pulsing veins, pale bones, and dripping muscles below. Even though you are frightened, you manage to slay the gnolls and the strange skin shedder. You go back to the town to claim your reward and recover from the horrifying experience.
That's when you start hearing reports about vampiric hyena monsters roaming the country side, sucking the blood out of any travelers they come across. You are sent out to fight them, and you discover that one of the vampiric gnolls is missing his skin. This time, you dispose of the vampires body properly through decapitation, cremation, and spreading the ashes in a lake. Now you know to always dispose of the bodies.
As you head back to the town, you meet a handsome young man with a wild head of hair traveling your way. You stop and talk for a moment and he seems like a nice guy. That is, until he turns around to reveal the gaping hyena maw on the back of his head. He bites you with bone crunching force, potentially causing lasting damage but you manage to slay the weirdo and move on.
Your party decides to leave the town that keeps sending you out to hunt hyena freaks and search for a less disturbing place to seek shelter. You come across a fairly pleasant town with nice people who invite you to stay the night at their inn. Just as you prepare to go to sleep for the night, a person you met there comes and asks you to follow him. He wants to show you something important. He leads you and the rest of your party to the town square where it seems like the entire village has gathered. Vultures circle in the night sky.
The villagers grab sticks that seem to have been laid out for a bonfire and begin to rub themselves with their clubs, causing matted hair to sprout along their bodies as they turn into monstrous gnolls. They cackle gleefully as they explain that you have come to a feast in the name of Yeenoghu and that your party is the meal.
You fight your way out of that fiasco, and find another (hopefully) human village to rest at. Everything seems fine until you hear reports about brain eating hyenas and alien spacecraft about...
That spoiler is for a gnoll centric campaign idea that I have. All of those weird hyena monsters come from real world African and Greek mythology.
