“Wait what?” Balatro lowers his marrote. “Am I missing something?”
“We serve Faltros, his subjects and servants we do not follow. We most likely are insane, but we know who we serve.”
“Man, this whole thing is getting complicated. Someone should make a chart. I didn’t know you were also under him, but the point is I don’t think he’d enjoy you smiting all his soldiers.”
“We understand. We are not trying to smite but are trying to destroy and build back better. We apologize to both you and the devils.”
Slayer now has the undeath domain. He probably won’t use its power but he has it now. He’s kinda just living life and enjoying it too.
Happy is enjoying his work vacation in the kingdom of duality, still yet to formally meet the second part of said duality but loving the place regardless.
The Frenzy has returned to the underworld and is consuming everyone and everything in its path, making all a part of the flames. They radiate the power of arcana, which they didn’t have before.
After some time, Happy would see a mass of shadows Fly over Splendor, the light side of the kingdom, before heading towards Tenebrous, the dark half. Several of the citizens of Splendor look up and point towards the shadow, talking of the Umbral Dragon’s return from her Soul collecting.
Happy Chaos is eating a sandwich at the moment it happens, he looks up in shock, his food falling out of his mouth, though he catches it before it hits the ground. When he finishes the bite he looks at the dragon “Huh, that’s pretty cool, I have to admit.”
He sees the shadowy dragon disappear into Tenebrous.
“What was that anyway?” He turns to a citizen
“Oh, that was The Gentle Darkness, Ruler of Tenebrous and partner to our Lady Mephilia. She must have returned from her collecting.”
“Well thank you for that information. I’ll probably have to have a talk with them at some point. More importantly do you know a good deli in this city?”
“Oh, well their’s Mitchell’s shop down the street that has some good meats. You can try there.”
“Sure, thanks for that.” He tosses them a platinum coin for their troubles and stops by Mitchell’s shop. They begin to look around the shop.
Cogintius is in the City of Order, waiting for both the Mythos of Order to assemble and for Crotalus to respond to his message.
Faltros is lecturing Kagorax.
Something is arriving soon. A dark presence can be felt in the air...
Gibber is thinking of making the inevitable Faltros and Cog fight not rigged for once, meaning that either Cog could have Faltros destroyed once and for all and have a new era of peace ushered in, or Faltros could defeat Cog and rule over the entire world. All up to chance to make things interesting.
*what’s the message?*
*Basically just saying 'I know what you have done, but I still believe we can end this peacefully and free you from the influence of chaos. Meet me outside of the city and we can talk.'*
Savut, after finally getting back to her home, is not necessarily excited to leave again, but eventually departs once more. She arrives at the gates with a tiny entourage of malisons. “I suppose things have escalated since I was gone, eh?”
*Oh wait I thought you meant the message to Crotalus. The one to each Mythos member was saying 'I require your aid, as trouble is brewing that could destroy the very fabric of order and peace itself. Meet me in the T.O.M.*
A guard looks down. "Yep. Cog's in the T.O.M, just head on through." He opens the gate, and since all members of the Mythos of Order can enter Savut doesn't need permission.
“How marvelous.” She travels through the city to the Tower, watching the mortals aside her condescendingly. Soon she reaches the T.O.M. and enters.
Inside is Cog, who looks up. "Ah! One of you have arrived!"
“Yes. I’ve been away from society for a bit hunting vampires. How have things been faring with you?”
"Horrible. A strange Will called the Hate Beneath the Earth, who I heavily suspect to be Crotalus, has been sabotaging the city and causing chaos. Cults, house fires, horrible monsters, things of that such. Faltros is in league with him as well, and apparently he has built an entire underworld for the souls of the wicked. I tried to fight him, but lost and had to retreat. Raegus, Clepsydris and Sarahphym have not appeared for quite a while-- you are the first member I have seen since it all started. To sum it up, the city is not exactly in perfect condition."
“Well then, you need to invest as many resources as possible in the allies you do have. And make more allies as well. Everyone on your side is a blessing, and you need to treat them as such so they don’t desert you. But also, don’t let yourself be a pushover. Keep a commanding presence and try your hardest to push the limits of your power. The wards you’ve set up are an excellent start, but you need to bolster your defenses with the help of your allies. Who else is with you outside of the mythos?”
"Arsendir, although he isn't much of a fighter. As well as the Wills from the Kingdom of Duality, who are currently helping in the North, I believe. Multiple other Wills have come to observe the city but I do not know much about them. But I feel I must be careful. If I slip up and ally myself with the wrong person..."
“Hm. You’re right about trust. I could investigate some of the Wills you’ve encountered and assess if they could help us against our foes below.”
"That would certainly be nice."
“Alright.” Savut cracks her knuckles. “Who should I meet with first?”
He thinks. "I am unsure. I trust the Wills from the Kingdom of Duality quite well, as well as Arsendir. The others that have visited are not currently at the city. Perhaps when they visit, you help me determine their trustworthiness?"
“Of course. I’m just glad to help you take down Crotalus.”

That one person was very right about this place.” He grabs the sandwich and takes a bite, the taste exploding in his mouth. He then places the rest of the pay on the counter and then walks out of the shop munching on the sandwich, he goes to look for the second part of the duality.

His searching would take him through the Golden Fields, the lushes farmlands of Splendor before the sky starts to darken like dusk despite being midday. The Twilight Grove is a small dreamlike forested enclave where the leaves are various shades of dusk and twilight hues with various faerie lights fluttering around the space. Going beyond that, and the world is thrown into perpetual night time, where the only lights that exist are those given off as bioluminescence from the various shadowy flora and fauna that dot the lands of Tenebrous, and the always full moon when it is not obscured by cloud cover.
Unlike Splendor, the mortal settlements are more rural, giving off a strange mix of small village surrounded by dark and eerie woods vibe and a cozy village nestled among the hill vibes. The shadowed lands do look somewhat unsettling, but the aura of the entire realm is peaceful and comforting, like the shadows are giving you a soft and calming embrace. Happy can see that not only are there mortals that are living their daily lives here, but various forms of undead are as well.
