What's gonna happen to the poor dragons Cog was given? There's also the clerics, who sometimes have a role in the story and other times are completely forgotten by me (similar thing with the Warlocks, but I feel it's less)*
*They have already escaped. One is on his way to cog as we speak. They were the songbirds. 😉*
*Ah, I see.*

I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
*this is so fun, if anything. Savut is just helping Aemulus’ plan*
Arsendir is on the wall of the city, surrounded by a flock of chorus hawks, a mixture of confusion and fake sadness on his face. He contacts Faltros to ask about Cogintius’ supposed death, as his chorus hawks spread throughout the city, singing a terrifying song.
*Oh yeah I didn’t even think about that. The yuan-ti (which I am officially now renaming Savotra, singular Savotrus) will probably be after him though, as a known ally of Cog*
*Arsendir might literally just team up with Savut, they are a slippery little snake. Literally, their true form is a snake*
Arsendir jumps off the wall and begins hurrying towards the T.O.M., a flock of birds following him. Anyone who gets close is suddenly confused, as by the confusion spell, for a few minutes.
Several savotra abominations raise shield and scimitar at the entrance to the tower. “Halt! State your business with Lady Savut!”
*One of Savut’s three potential Imago forms is indeed a giant snake, and Aemulus could certainly contribute to her pupation taking the Beast route. That would actually be really cool.*
*ooh, how fun*
”I wish to talk to her… about all of…” he gestures awkwardly to the city.
The guards look at each other, seemingly unsure about what to do. “I suppose She would want you to see Her then…” They move aside for Arsendir.
He walks in, accompanied by his three birds. As he enters the temple, his very presence becomes dark and toxic. He looks for Savut.
*wait a minute. i thought the t in t.o.m. stood for ‘tower’. Have I been thinking it was a tower this whole time when it was just a temple???*
“Hello.” A venomous voice whispers, quiet and deafening at once. Savut slithers out of the shadows, her green eyes flashing. “Nice of you to drop by. Were you seeing if your master was truly dead? Or did you think you could challenge me?”
*I’ve heard people refer to it as both*
Arsendir, with his skeletal body wrapped in a ghostly visage of mortal flesh, leans in.
”is anybody listening?” He hisses, a forked tongue darting out between his teeth.
*ok*
Savut seems confused. “I’m right here. What do you mean?”
“Anyone else… no mortals, or other wills besides us two must ever hear what is about to be spoken. Understood?”

“Wait… he’s coming to fight you again, and he’s fighting to kill. Savut has taken over the city in his place…”
"...It seems the coward is finally trying. Good for him, even if it will end in his death. I shall make preparations. But what was that about Savut? Why would she take over the city if she is part of the Order Mythos?"
“Betrayal…”
"Interesting. How much despair and fear would you say is in the city after Cogintius's supposed death and Savut's takeover?"
“quite a bit… the elders have been displaced, and Savut is rounding up civilians who are supposedly your worshippers… if anything, it’s only beneficial for us.”
"Good. It seems I made a mistake not killing him when I had the chance. Either way, his end shall come now. His fate is sealed the moment he enters my domain."

He grabs onto his lower jaw, and with a sickening crack, dislocates it. A shadowy form can be seen moving up from where his heart would be, up to his mouth, where emerging from his ghostly lips is a striking violet viper, black and blue underbelly, and fangs like adamantine. It slithers out of Arsendir’s body, which collapses into a pile of bones. It slither’s up a table to be closer to Savut’s eye level.

*maybe the many rifts formed by the Unseen Excursion form some kind of occult symbol with an ‘X’ in the middle. The two lines of the ‘X’ transform into long bands of multicolored steel, which rise into the air and curl into the two rings that make up an ophan. Hands and wings burst from the creature, with a single beckoning arm stretching from its flashing, misty core*
*I love it. Wait I might take inspiration from Galeem and its army of hands from super smash bros ultimate as well. Also, it’s been hard to keep up with all the stuff happening with all the wills so could you give me a small recap of stuff with the unknowable?*
*Basically, the Unseen World has always existed, it’s just been, well, unseen. But some event (possibly to do with something else happening in the world but i’ll work that out later) caused it to gain a conscious mind. This mind split into two aspects: an orderly one and a chaotic one, befitting the nature of the world. It then punched a hole into our reality, creating the Well of All Worlds, a pool of unstable stuff that draws in the souls of all who have died without a proper afterlife. The ordered side of the Unseen World turned into the UNKNOWABLE, who has created the Navel Temple around the Well and has issued a warning to Faltros about the doom that could befall all of creation. The chaotic side of the Unseen World has been forming Rifts and Talons in the south. The Rifts devour the physical and immaterial, and the Talons pull at the fabric of reality.*

“Oh. No. Nobody at all. My savotra would know better than to disturb me. And the people fear me too much.”
“Good… I am here to offer you a deal. I served Cogintius until now, but my connection with him was not more than a means of safety. I wish to work with you for control over this city. After all, I know many things you do not. And another thing, do you really care all that much of extinguishing the cult of Faltros, or is that a simple scapegoat for your actions?”
“If they are, I am doing nothing consciously to stop them. But you strike me as rather untrustworthy.” Savut slowly approaches him with an appraising look. “Who are you really?”
“Do you really wish to know?”
“Yes. I do. If you want to work with me, there has to be a trust between us.”
She smiles. “A snake knows another snake anywhere. Who have you truly been serving all this time?”

*hey would anyone be interested in playing a counterpart to the UNKNOWABLE? Instead of acting as the throat of the Unseen World, they would act as the hand, and attempt to bring more and more souls and worlds into the endless devouring reach of that fell, inconceivable plane*
*thaaaat could be fun!*
*yeah. the design would have to contrast the UNKNOWABLE’s form of a hooded, stooped old man*
*my idea is some sort of demented hand angel, sort of like a Cambium from tome of beasts (look it up) except to further contrast, it could disguise as a young child or something similar, i don’t know*
*or maybe something like an ophan but with hands instead of eyes. Either way, I have the perfect name: Yadathiel. It follows traditional angel naming conventions, and combines the name of a Mandaeistic angel with the hebrew word for hand*
*ooh I like the name, and Ophans are super cool. Maybe it could have different forms? And at one point it’s definitely going to say,*
”BE AFRAID.”
*awesome. this is gonna be sweet*

*alright. So those rifts would soon form an x pattern covering a large area, which would then form Yadathiel.*
