Savut is preparing to return to the swamp, having collected several things to bring back to her followers. She has also left many small idols and statuettes carved from willow wood of a dragonfly-winged medusa in random locations around the City of Order.
The tiny, foot long viper heads in to meet Faltros.
He's agitatedly pacing around, muttering to himself. He then turns to the viper and stops. "Hello. Who are you, and why have you come here?"
“Baryaba Aemulus, Lord of Hexes and prince of chaos, child of the mother snake. I have come with a proposition. This world is too orderly, and it needs chaos. I want to bring down the Mythos of order, which accidentally prompted my hatching into this world. Based on what I have gathered from my time underground, you are practically their arch nemesis, correct?”
"Not necessarily the Mythos itself. Cogintius, it's founder, certainly. And I essentially wish to take down almost all of the gods on the surface. But not the Mythos itself."
*Faltros is lawful evil.*
*I see, Aemulus is Chaotic evil, of course*
”well, then why don’t I help you? You could grant me power and protection and I could help you with your goal to take down the gods of the surface.”
He thinks about this. "How powerful would you say you are?"
“A very, very, very minor greater demon at this point, but I could soon grow to unimaginable power. And besides, I already have the basics for a plan on how to take down the city of order from the inside.”
"And what is that?"
“I have two ideas…” if the snake could smile, it would be smiling right now.
”first, I would grant the people inside the city forbidden magics, curses and hexes and spells I shall create to bring destruction. Many people would accept, whether to get back at an enemy or whatever else they could use it for. But this magic would cost them something: they need to bring others into the scheme and teach them the magic, corrupt them until it spreads like a plague. Then and only then will the second part of the plan strike. The order does not know of my existence as of currently, and so I will seek them out and ask to join them. I’ll act as your spy and I will eventually take them down in secret from the inside, either by brute force in secret, or possibly even corrupting those mortal elders that make up their council. Once the city is thrown into turmoil, will be the perfect time to overthrow them, will it not be?”
"I have been having devils spread forbidden magic throughout the surface. We haven't yet done it in the city, however. Along with that, I approve of the idea of a spy."

“So do we have a deal?”
He thinks for a second. "Very well then. I will provide you protection to do this. However, you must know one thing." He grins and turns to the snake. "If I tell you to do something related to this plan, do not question it and follow my command. No matter what, I am the one in control as long as our deal remains. Afterall, you are unfathomably young being compared to me, and it would be a shame if I were to show you how much power I have obtained if you are to object to my demands. Is this understood?"

*i’mma make a document about the swamp, its culture, and the worship of Savut^
*cool, I’d like seriously want to do the Same, but with literally all the gods. Like I imagine that eventually tons of practices and traditions will form around the followers of the gods and it’s be super awesome. I’ve already thought some stuff about Herionidus, who by the way is probably still worshipped although he’s dead, because he was already undead before that and stuff, and also there were literally hundreds of thousands of people who worshipped him*

*i mean as the first god of all, he’d naturally be significant. Savut herself occupies the Wild, Water, and Plague domains, and is venerated almost solely within her swamp (though villages in the prairies may have adopted her as a minor idol to their pantheons). She is hailed as a goddess of fertility and animal life, of forests and fishing, and of the cycle of growth and decay. Animal sacrifice is a tenet of her faith, along with the practice of basketweaving.*

*Herionidus was revelry, Decadence, Wild, Grave and Peace I believe, and is mostly worshipped in the Valley of Herionidus of course, but after the red festival started (and it hasn’t ended yet) around half the Herionidian’s escaped and are now searching for refuge across the globe, bringing their worship of him with them. Eventually he’d likely become at least a semi important figure in some religions. While he was alive he was mainly the god of bliss and happiness, of food and flavor, and excess and plants, particularly honey and fruit, as well as plants like poppies and Angel’s trumpets, because of their effects on happiness and hallucinations. Now that he is dead he will likely be regarded more for his most recent domain, grave, in which he would be a god of spirits and afterlife and decadence, of flowers and still mainly keeping that concept of bliss as well, and all that sort of stuff. The main way people worshipped Herionidus is celebrations, lavish dinners and wild parties, and especially funerals. In fact, Herionidians basically invented funerals as a sort of concept, Being that Herionidus was buried every dawn until dusk in his cherry coffin, basically starting the whole tradition. Also why vampires are canonically tied to coffins and why the sun hurts them, because Herionidus was only present during the night while he was a god of the grave*

Sarahphym is chilling *heh* back at their temple, putting together some large golem made of ice. They sense intruders on their domain- a band of hikers who strayed too close to the mountain's peak. They sigh, and wave their hand in the general direction of the sensation. A roaring avalanche silences the nuisances quickly, and the Snow Angel continues their work.
