Happy Chaos is exploring his new power on a far away mountain range. The mountain shakes with his new power as he does things he never knew were an option. His clones are traveling the planet taking the form of any mortal they meet on the search for other greater wills that he may converse with and compare power to.

No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
*ello. It seems Cog has found out about Aemulus? Although from what I read, not their name?*
*Yeah. So that might cause some issues.*
Cogintius is in the T.O.M, writing books to pass the time. *Expect slightly less interaction with Cog as I figure out how to make him not an anger issue filled (gp).*
Faltros, having found nothing, has considered that the reports may have been fake and has summoned for the residents of the underworld that supposedly saw the intruders. In the meantime he is sipping on a glass of wine.
Something strange is happening in a 100 foot radius circle (200 diameter). Things seem to be floating around, and there is a peculiar tension in the air.
The crows are flying all around the city, carving the same staircase swirling eye symbol on every wood and stone surface they can find. A pair of them, the size of huskies, are following a young man throughout the city. Their beaks are stained with blood and a green sort of poison.
a group of wandering nomadic Herionidians, say 50 of them, come across the strange 100 foot area. Three of them, probably the leaders of the Nomads, go to investigate.
(I feel like at this point in the thread we could probably add some sort of timeskip feature where every certain number of pages a certain number of years pass in the game world, just to add a sense of progress. But I feel like that might be too big of a change to do without Baalz.)
Cogintius puts his book down. "What am I doing? I must get to work on solving the issues of the city. What did those chaos walkers say? A serpent... And Happy Chaos said something about crows. Strange." He teleports outside of the T.O.M, looking around until he finds something.
Clumps of the earth rise up in oddly shaped spheres, then explode back towards the ground, then the process repeats over and over. A large floating spiral pattern rises up in a cylinder shape, stopping around the top of the area and collecting in a circle of dirt, stone, and brief flashes of alien, shadowy energy.
*If that's the case, how much time would have skipped by now? Just curious*
He finds one of the large crows creating a nest on a chimney. The outside of the chimney is inscribed with that strange symbol, and the nest is made out of charred wood dripping with a sizzling green poison.
“What is this…” one of them asks the others, trying to poke on of the spheres with her cane.
*I’d imagine if we implement it then up until we do so time would have passed in relation to the old world or maybe at a 3-1 ratio, so it’d have been a few years. And then something else once we put it into effect like every ten pages after that is 1 year. Of course this is just brainstorming and I don’t want to make anything official until Baalz gets back*
Using his knowledge brainy god powers, he attempts to read the mind of the crow to determine things like its motives and origin.
The sphere explodes in a sudden burst, then seems to do so again but in reverse, as if it never exploded, then it explodes again, half of it joining the spiral pattern and the other sinking back in the ground. Crackles of more of the alien energy flicker.
*Okey dokey.*
For motives, it’s too bestial for him to decipher anything beyond getting food, surviving, and carving that strange symbol any chance it gets. For origin, it came from a flock of crows that ate from a herd of 19 cow corpses that appeared randomly in a field outside the city one night. After three hours of the crows feasting, nothing was left. They ate all of the corpses, bones and all. They have started to mutate and become more monstrous, influenced by some dark magic.
the leader backs away and turns towards the rest of the group. “You all! Travel a bit away just so this place is barely in view and set up camp. We’re going to investigate further, expect us back in a few hours.” The group starts to leave, and then once they get around a Mile or two away, they start to set up their tents and fires, cooking up complex and flavorful dishes with minimal supplies, experts because of their Herionidian origins.
"Interesting." He inspects the symbol. "Perhaps this is the symbol of a Will or a cult, like that of the Godless Ones." He thinks to himself. He uses some more brainy knowledge god powers to give the crow more intelligence, also giving it the ability to speak Common.
It just remains there, continuing to be chaotic as it was before. *Resisting the urge to say, "it just stands there... MENACINGLY!"*
“Cr-Cro…” it starts to speak, amazed by its newfound sentience. From its mind, Cog learns it definitely serves some sort of powerful master. He also picks up the phrase, “Hate from below the earth, Hate from within our skin,” in its mind, whatever that could mean.
They stay there for around half an hour, observing. After that, they head back to the camp.
"Crotalus? Is that who you speak of?"
Whenever they all go to sleep, they remember what dreams they had exactly with perfect detail, even if their memory isn't good normally.

Hello! I am a perfectly sane gibberer. Hi! :D
Locations are dead, the Temple of Potassium has fallen but its ideals live on
Savut has witnessed the first sun heron egg-laying and is watching the egg closely.
The yuan-ti squadron is planning an escape from the Red Festival.
“So,” the leader of the Herionidian camp says. “How would you go about escaping?” (Lets just say they got a meeting with the leaders, unless you want something different)
*nah that's good* "Most likely, we would find a weak point in the wall, create a diversion, and send you all out as fast as possible."
“That’d be pretty hard, but it could work. The Cliffs are around 300 feet tall, almost impossible to scale, and are at least a thousand feet thick. Go all the way around the valley besides the river, and that river was enchanted when Herionidus died, can’t cross it without the help of a greater will, I’m nearly certain.”
*Well, seeing as it's been a couple days, I'm going to assume that conversation is over.*
The Lich King marches through the northlands, natural life decaying around him. He is smart enough to know he must bide his time, as beginning his conquest now would amount to suicide. So he will wait and watch, until the moment to strike reveals itself.
The Lich King finds gates of black iron leading into a cave, which leads into a staircase seemingly infinite in length.
Curious, the Lich King descends the staircase. "What secrets does this place hold?" he asks, speaking more to himself than whoever may be here.
It does down, and down, and down some more. It's lit by torches of blood red flames. Eventually, he stumbles upon an extremely large cavern, hundreds of miles wide. Obsidian pillars keep the ceiling up, and blood red flames like that of the torches from the staircase burn all over. Devils, along with what appear to be spirits of the wicked, walk or fly around. The main centerpiece is a river of fire leading to an enormous obsidian palace with crimson windows. A boat sits at the river's mouth, with a devil standing atop it.
The Lich King marches forward, unafraid. He approaches the boat.
The devil looks up. "Hey, nice to meet ya'. Ya' seem powerful, are ya' a Will?"
*sorry for such a late response. I was busy for a bit.*
"Correct. What is this place?"
"You're in the underworld, pal. Home sweet home to the souls of the wicked, led by Faltros, a demon of extremely high power. And who are you?"
"You may call me the Lich King. Where is this demon you speak of?"
"Faltros? He's in his palace. I can take you there, if you want, for a coin or two. Or you can teleport, being a Will, but there's no sightseeing in that."
The Lich King silently drops a few coins, thinking to get an understanding of this place before teleporting straight to the leader.
Some spirits and devils get on as well, then the boat sets off. "This is, what, the second time I've rowed a Greater Will to Faltros's Palace? He's a popular Will." The ferryman chuckles to himself as he rows.
The landscape is like what the Lich King saw when he entered-- blood red flames popping out of nowhere, obsidian pillars, spirits and devils wandering around. Sometimes he can see small armies marching along the riverbank towards the entrance to the underworld, likely to the surface. Other times he sees strange creatures walking or even flying around, such as winged monstrosities breathing a variety of elements, the most common being a red fire-breathing variety. (Chromatic dragons)
If this is all his domain, then Faltros is powerful indeed. Potentially a very helpful ally, or a very dangerous enemy. Either way, he'll have to be smart about this. The Lich King mentally prepares himself as the boat approaches the palace.
Eventually the boat lands at a small beach of black sand. The palace doors lie around 50 feet away, guarded by two demons.
"Hey! Let him see Boss. We got another Will visiting."
The devils open the door to the inside of the palace.

Hi! I'm EJO. I am a silly billy who forgets to play Genshin Impact every day and totally DOESN'T simp for at least three different ninja girls. Some other facts about me:
Milio has been ditched. Now Xerath is my friend.
My average accuracy in Marvel Rivals is about 15%.
Cogintius is investigating the occurrences in the city.
Faltros has set up guards to alert him of potential intruders.
The strange area has picked up some stone, which is now part of its chaotic mixture. It also has picked up supplies from some passerby such as the Herionidans, such as pieces of a tent, pans, etc.

Savut has witnessed the first sun heron egg-laying and is watching the egg closely.
The yuan-ti squadron is planning an escape from the Red Festival.
No news is good news…
I'll lay a white rose on the cold earth, knowing it that it has not claimed your soul.
“So,” the leader of the Herionidian camp says. “How would you go about escaping?” (Lets just say they got a meeting with the leaders, unless you want something different)
*nah that's good* "Most likely, we would find a weak point in the wall, create a diversion, and send you all out as fast as possible."
No news is good news…

"Crotalus? Is that who you speak of?"
Whenever they all go to sleep, they remember what dreams they had exactly with perfect detail, even if their memory isn't good normally.

Eventually the boat lands at a small beach of black sand. The palace doors lie around 50 feet away, guarded by two demons.
"Hey! Let him see Boss. We got another Will visiting."
The devils open the door to the inside of the palace.

“Crotalus? CROTALUS!” It caws. It definitely knows the name. In it’s fit of squawking, it spits a glob of poison, which starts sizzling a hole in the root.
when they start to wake up, they are confused and slightly on edge because of this. When they mention it, the three leaders go to see if anything’s changed with the area of floating ground.
"Is Crotalus the one behind the occurrences here?"
It seems to be the same, if that can be said for an ever-changing cylinder of earth and Eldritch energy. *This is mainly just foreshadowing. The bigger stuff, like the Will behind this actually appearing, will happen later.*

Faltros has set up guards to alert him of potential intruders.
The strange area has picked up some stone, which is now part of its chaotic mixture. It also has picked up supplies from some passerby such as the Herionidans, such as pieces of a tent, pans, etc.

Somewhere between a genius and a moron.
Cogintius walks up. "You are leaving? I will not object, as it is your choice. But if I may ask, why have you chosen to do so?"
