The corrosive crows are taking care of their eggs, hunting small creatures, feasting on corpses, or stealing shinies.

*Here are a few ideas she has been working on*
*the first and third look a lot like what I have planned for their elder forms :)*
the crows shed feathers a lot. Several feathers in their nests, and all around their territory. All of which are coated in their saliva. The crows, when they shed their feathers, usually grow much larger ones in their place. The one with three eyes already has many of these much larger feathers.
*Cool*
She finds it curious, wondering if this is the sign that another mutation is coming.
For now, there aren’t any more weird mutations, however, the eggs do seem close to hatching! The crows are looking after them much more than they were a few weeks ago and the eggs look healthy.

In addition, they seem to collect more and more shinies and decorate their nests with them. Tons of them. More than they liked collecting at first.
The gravediggers have all met up just outside of their crypt, ready to flee to safety if Savut and her allies get any closer.
Savut gets closer, holding the star aloft.
The retreat into the mouth of the crypt, just their heads visible.
”Leave, goddess!” One of them shrieks.
“Shall you order about one greater than you?” She says condescendingly.
”what is your purpose here, swamp demon?” one of them coos.
“Quite simply? To kill you and deliver those trapped in this place. And don’t call me ‘swamp demon’. Though that isn’t a bad idea…”
“You have no right to meddle in our affairs, Savut!”
“And yet I continue.” She slowly moves closer, holding out the cosmic light she possesses.
The six of them retreat completely into their crypt, and the entrance is sealed over by the roots of the great tree.
She draws out her glaive and slashes at the roots. Attack: 23 Damage: 6 slashing damage.
It barely scratches the roots. They twist and begin to grow towards her in retaliation.
“Unfortunate.” She begins to retreat. “But they fear the light. Therefore, they will fall with relative ease.”
The tree shakes and quivers, ready to fight for the gravediggers should Savut or her minions come back. The gravediggers are likely resting dead in their crypt, waiting for the next sunset to arise.

Finally, after a few hours, one of the eggs hatches. A little beak pokes a hole in the shell, revealing the tiny form of a small crow, not yet having grown feathers. It makes a crying sound and reveals a tongue, long and serrated, something she hadn’t noticed that the adults have as well. Then another hatches, then one more of them. The adult shelters them with their wing and brings them some food to eat from a corpse. The babies, after a while, manage to cut the piece of meat to slivers and eat them.
The roots are scorched and damaged, and the tree sways in anger. Now those drakes get to see why people avoid the tree.
eight great vines, like nooses, descend from the canopy quickly and try to ensnare each one of the drakes, wrapping around their heads and necks.
