As you slowly waltz through the Jungle, You come across a Trove of Mushrooms...But not regular ones No. These are Mushroom Beings, each with their own life and Meaning.
Dear Traveler you have stumbled into something grand, as your body becomes infused with the Mushrooms you gain New Powers. You are Truly Blessed by Shroomy One.
Welcome Shroomling, Welcome to Our Trove.
Hello! It's Djrowee, and Surprise, Surprise. We have a Trove of Shrooms. Not a Cult, or a Guild. A TROVE!
Here we are Welcomed chat and Talk and Just Have fun, and While This is not a Tavern, I Have to Give the Return of The Guild of Spiders thanks for the Inspiration.
You can Roleplay here if you wish too.
Here are The Ranks You can Get while here in our Shroomy Wonderland.

The Shroomy One Watches you always, Run RUN, RUN WHILE YOU STILL CAN! The MUSHROOMS! HELP!
The characters have just finished an adventure, and are resting at the town they saved. But somethings... wrong. The town seems to be getting quieter, less people fill the town square each morning, not so many merchants hassle in the market, until eventually everyone but the players are gone. The cycle of day and night gets slower, until the world is trapped in a sort of eternal twilight.
The characters a clueless as to what's going on, even when they try to leave the town they end up passing out and waking up in their beds. With a successful DC 30 intelligence check, the DC decreasing by 5 everyday as things get quieter and stranger, the characters can work out that the town might be being warped, sandwiched between realities... a Liminal space of sorts. Hunger leaves them, and they don't seem to need to sleep apart to recover hitpoints... but shadowy creatures have started appearing, picking them off one by one.
Whether caused by wild magic, an evil lich, or a shroom of ultimate power, this is an effective way to weird out and challenge your players, and one I plan to use for one of my campaigns!

You stand trial for egregious abuse of capital letters. How do you plead?

*cracks knuckles* Strange and evil, you say? I think I have an idea for that...
After a ways of wandering, the heroes encounter an odd man sitting at an ornate table (which just happens to have enough chairs for everyone in the party to sit as well), having a tea party with all the fixings. He invites them to sit and indulge themselves, and if they do, chit-chats with the party about nothing in particular. Then, the man asks them for a favor: There's a magic staff in a temple not too far from here, that used to belong to them, and they want it back for keepsake. He promises rewards of immense value: Riches, fame, power... whatever will get the party to help him. If the party repeatedly refuses his offer, he begrudgingly disappears to somewhere else, taking the entire tea party with him.
In truth, the man is a powerful illusioner, who wants the staff so they can kill the ruler of the province and take their place, for the staff allows one to cast glibness on themselves twice a day, and would make his job much easier. The 'man' the party speaks to is a projection of the real illusioner, which is puppeteered from afar. The 'tea party' is entirely illusory as well, but gives the semblance of touch and taste and nourishment within the spell's radius. Any 'rewards' he gives the party when they complete the task are also illusory, and vanish as soon as he whisks the staff back to his real self.
The first thing that will tip the party off is that whether they leave the tea party to go on the quest, or the man gets frustrated and dispels it, anyone who ate at the party will suddenly feel hungry all over again...
