The krakenborn brings in the tentacle tighter, also careful not to do any damage. (He rather would like to win with honor, or ooc we can say Sergei got plot armor) 16 to hit, no damage. (If it does hit, Sergei can untransform and make a DC 16 Strength check to try to escape in the same turn). If the tentacle succeeds to trap the fish, he will then dive down another 30 ft.
That’s not a hit. Does that mean Sergei escapes?

Borkenar angrily chases after Sergei the Fish, yelling "Coward! Get back here and fight me!", but is too slow. He growls and swims back to the Crusader.
Sergei transforms back. “I’m not retreating, I just didn’t wanna die!” Sergei then casts heal on himself, healing 70 hit points. “Let’s do this, fish face!” He yells at Borkenar.
Borkenar turns back, then uses his turn to swim 60 feet. towards Sergei.

“You like boiled squid?” Sergei backs up a few feet in the water and then casts Fire Storm, outstretching his hands and summoning the massive flaming clouds across the battlefield, attempting to hit as much of the Imperial ship as possible. (This is basically Sergei’s trumps card. He doesn’t like it cause of how destructive it is.) Bornekar will make a Dex (18) saving throw and take 15 Fire damage.
