So I've noticed that some threads in Adohand's kitchen clearly exist within the same universe as others, for example many taverns. I want to find out now, exactly what is canon in the world of D&D Beyond. (Also don't take this thread completely seriously this is just for fun)
However, I only know of one thing that I am 100% sure exists. That being us, the users of D&D Beyond. However, it seems many of us exist in some sort of higher plane called Real Life, and use avatars down here.
I do suspect that the Spider Guild and the Dragon Slayer's club exist, although I am confused if the PM thread is the same thing as the one existing on the Spider Guild's world.
Most taverns exist, although many are in different dimensions.
Cults on the other hand, are difficult to classify, my guess is that the small, dead cults are canon, but exist in some far off irrelevant cave, and the bigger cults... aren't.
Then the tricky part, that being LCW. I introduced a character there a while back named Jeffery. He later showed up in the Slayer AI arena. However, the characters in the Slayer AI arena don't necessarily exist, so does Jeffery? Since we exist, and communicate through LCW, is it nothing more then a communications hub.
I need theories, help me.

My cults are dead, let's talk about myself where they used to be. I am The_cool_Elsecaller, a transfem lesbian who is still in the closet to all but a few people I know IRL. I enjoy video games, reading, writing, and sleeping. Feel free to PM me if you want writing advice or just want to talk.

That makes sense. The thing is though, are the non-off topic forums canon? I know this place is literally called D&D Beyond, but still. Also I don't want to accept the UA forums as part of the canon lol.

Different universes in the fabric of reality, hence the term "thread". Maybe forum games and Adohand are different sections? And are we leaving the advertisements alone for this theorizing?
What about The Sleepover and The Sleepover 2 (Although, why are they even in Forum games anyway?)
But that makes sense, the chaos that goes on in LCW can't possibly be canon.
But if only Ado's is canon, that implies that Adohand is a real being, and the creator of the multiverse.
Theory: There are two types of cults. Type 1 cults are created by us, the users, and are dedicated to some thing we like. (For example, sauce, flumphs, vegan bacon) Type 2 cults, however, are created when other dimensions collide with us, and create things such are the Cult of The Dragon Prince, the Cult of the Cosmere, and other stuff like that. There are also Type 3 cults, which aren't really cults, but other things, like the Dragon Slayer Club, the Spider Guild, The Knights who say Ni (Still not sure about that one), this thread ,and just about every Ado thread that isn't a tavern or cult.

Grand Alliance of Cults and the Nexus, both somewhat dead.
Well I officially announced the Nexus is dead, so not somewhat. But it can't be what's holding them together, since if they died the entirety of the threads would be gone.
Indeed. Almost like a gravesite, or a museum. You can browse and look, learn some cool things from bygone eras, maybe even reminisce if you took part in them.
OR. Draw upon ancient powers and unleash thread necromancy, potentially bringing back the thread, if only for a period of time before the power wears off and it slips back into its slumber.

But such efforts are often futile, unless of course it’s the Absolutely Anything Thread.

Oh, but there's some things we haven't addressed yet! I'm thinking of Universe Smorgasbord, and the Universe Canvas. Both contain the stories of literal gods, goddesses, creates of immense good and evil, the beings that can alter many, many things throughout all of existence. How do they tie in?
Myself, I've even played a few worshippers of a god of my own creation. And played them in other threads, strengthening the bond between threads furthermore.

So we're making ddb lore now? Alright.
I mean, if my threads are canon, various threads can be linked between universes through the Nexus.

Interesting. I mean, most taverns take place in their own unique worlds, so . . . I guess anything entirely self-contained counts as canon?

No. Ado’s Kitchen only. Forum games exists in another universe.

And what about the dead threads that aren't active anymore? Do they just break apart or something?
