*By the way, anyone who wants to spend time in the belowdecks can basically make up what they find. The ever-changing nature and incredible size of the Gut means you can and will find just about anything you want down there.*
*Nathan would, but his previous experiences with Aunt Pleasant have taught him to stay on the upper decks.*
“Avoiding business,” He says with a grin, “I’m a dancer and a musician. I can lead a band and play quite a few instruments. I make music and movement my business.” He leans back in his chair, “What about you?”
"I'm in between jobs right now. I got marooned on this planet by my crew. Probably going to be a bounty hunter for a little while to scrape up some money. I can't say I like bounty hunters but I really don't have another choice right now."
“You’re from the stars? Well I’ll be. What’s it like up there? Do they have good music?”
"It's a beautiful place," the plasmoid said with a longing in his voice. "The stars surround you on all sides as you travel through the heavens. There's no wind, no storms, no sound. Except for the racket your crewmates make, of course. And adventure. So many interesting things outside of reach on the earth are available to investigate and study. Asteroid crypts, moving ship graveyards, nebulae, and so many other things. Sorry, I'm still homesick. But the music? The music is essentially the same. It sounds a bit different, we have a few different instruments than you, but we have space shanties, epics, ballads, and even swing as well there. We aren't as different as you might think. Our cultures haven't really differed except differences in some aspects of daily life that are necessary to survive in the vacuum with no gravity."

"Oh, just some high-ranking crew members. The Captain, the Head Chef... there are a couple more, but they usually spend all their time deep below."
"I see. Interesting. I have one last question. Are passengers allowed underdecks?"
"Legally, the answer is no. Technically, no one will stop you so long as you don't enter one of the Lords' Domains. The Galley and the Challenger Decks in particular are not very safe for casual exploration."
"Sounds like the old saying. 'It's only illegal if you get caught.' Thank you for the information my friend. Do y'all serve stardust martinis here?"

May each word that I speak be backed by each of my teeth.

"Sorry we don't have the real thing for ya." He begins to mix the drink. "Extraterrestrial stuff is hard to get in general, and out at sea it's almost impossible."

“I sure would like to jive through the stars. It would probably be too quiet for me.” He shakes his head and brushes his hair out of his face, “I haven’t had quiet in a long while though.”

"I live and breathe swing. My heart beats to the pounding of the drums. My brass blood flows to the tune of the trumpet and trombone. I have a big band orchestra blaring beauty into my brain all day... every day. I don't know what would happen to me if I was in complete silence." I tired, fearful longing passes across his faintly smiling face.

"That sounds pretty annoying. But I suppose you would get used to it.

"It's a blessing and a curse. I love music, I couldn't live without it." He drums his fingers on the table, "You say you're planning on becoming a bounty hunter?"

"Yes, for the time being. If I could make money a different way I would but fighting is my main area of expertise."

"I've played a good amount of accordion."

"Accordion you say?" He considers this, "How would you like to play in a band for a swing hall? It would be more fun and your otherworldly appearance would draw a larger crowd. Besides, there would be less killing people for dubious reasons."

Nueve is trying to find the library.
I’m a decent DM and an above average rules lawyer
I have several complete Pokedexes | I may be stupid, but at least I’m not smart!

Aunt Pleasant is at the library. She walks out of sight with a concerned look on her face as soon as Nueve arrives.
