Idea prompt: Essentially five great knights that serve a godly king. Each one is illuminated in a pale, silver light and generally have a silver light theme. They each represent a trait. Strength, Wisdom, Courage, Loyalty, and Kindness. I need strength and wisdom ideas. The others are finished. If more backstory is needed, lemme know.

I think some more backstory information would be really helpful. So these knights are the embodiments of these traits?

 Yeah, essentially. So basically they serve this king who was titled himself The Saviour. The lore would probably go on for a lot of pages, but basically The Saviour believes he and only he can bring this small civilization to greatness, so he stigmatizes the former god that ruled over them as more of a motherly figure and became their dictator essentially. When he finds that someone or something is not useful for the kingdom he destroys them and collects their soul material. The five great knights are his main force of offense and protection. Two of them, loyalty and courage are his biological children. The other three are essentially constructs with a will that he built using the souls of those that were not useful. 

In the grand scheme of things, The Saviour is the bad guy, but the great knights don’t realize this, except Loyalty, but hence the name, she is loyal to The Saviour and protects his secrets. There’s plenty more lore though lol

 In retrospect that sounds like warhammer lore

No idea what that’s like, but my part of the lore was heavily based off Hollow Knight.

 That's very interesting. I like the fact that Loyalty knows what's up but her nature keeps her on the king's side. 

For Wisdom, maybe read Proverbs? That book has a ton of wisdom. Maybe they are the most pacifistic of the group, or the most slow to act. Maybe they are a sort of trickster. Their wisdom gives them the knowledge of what their enemy will do and how to bamboozle the enemy the most. If any of them would be able to discern their father's true motives, I would think that Wisdom would be it.

I'm not sure what do to with Strength besides give them a might makes right personality.

 That's very interesting. I like the fact that Loyalty knows what's up but her nature keeps her on the king's side.

 I like the ideas you’re getting at, and I forgot to mention this but it’s kind of essential. 

Each knight is a teacher of the youth, and each one teaches in a different way. Courage tells tall tales of the kingdoms and The Saviour’s mighty battles and teaches the kids to live their king, Loyalty scares kids into line and makes sure they know what their duty to the kingdom, and Kindness teaches kids essential life lessons with children’s books and stuff.

Their way of teaching gives insight to their traits

Strength should train and push the children to grow stronger to be of better service of the king

Having them be teachers is interesting. Wisdom could teach Aesop's Fables to the youth, this could add to Wisdom's trickster jive if you go there. He could also challenge them with riddles and tests of wit.

 I like the idea of Wisdom being a trickster. It’s kinda the opposite of what you’d expect.

 I generally have a vague idea, and then just cook up a sheet for that idea along with some fairly vague lore and an intro. That's it.

I let it simmer in my subconscious for a few days, write a few random sentences, and then flip through the monster manual until I’m inspired.

 I normally start by literally creating a whole history of lore and a setting before making a character to go with it 😅

Also: would anyone want to help me start a thread. I don't seem to have any luck on my own.

My idea is make something similar to the bloody barnacle but space. I have a name for the ship and it's Captain. The ship: The Bastion, Captain: pirate the robot. Basically this ship is an independent privateer. It patrols the galaxy looking for work in just about any form or fashion.

I'm kinda thinking of only allowing a few crew. Like 4 workers, 2 engineers, a medic, the captain, the first mate, 2 guards. And then allow any number of stow aways.

People would be allowed certain levels in classes depending on their role.
