Oh right, forgot about that. Maybe look into some other myths? Hindu mythology is pretty cool, and the Aru Shah series is a very funny depiction of it. If you're not feelin' like Hindu, Egytptian mythology is also cool.

Doesn’t matter. In the world I’m imagining, Yggdrasil is incredibly healthy. A little too healthy. The tree’s roots and branches have spread all throughout the 9 Realms and beyond. People from all walks of life and completely different universes end up getting accidentally taken from their home and forced into the World Tree. Luckily, people have gathered together to form a village so they don’t all die. The bad news is that 1. You cannot leave and 2. All the giant not so friendly animals living throughout the tree. Like the dragon, the eagle and the psychopathic squirrel the size of a tank
