In my opinion,
1 shows relief. It's one of the most obvious ones because it has a caption, but it's also in the body language of the person depicted. 2 Is painful; anguished. The person isn't only cutting their hair, they're cutting their ties to a most likely toxic group 3 seems lighthearted or impulsive. the person's face doesn't seem to portray anything negative, just a different sort of relief from 1, a quicker, easier relief 4 Is a little harder to decipher, because the shot is smaller and the person's face isn't visible. To me, it seems secretive and sudden. 5 is in my opinion, the prettiest piece of art shown here. To me, it embodies catharsis. The artist uses light and shadow to convey this

I literally cannot take anything related to this yokai seriously because the first time I heard it was at summer camp and the cabin now unanimously refers to her as “the Chinese s*x lady” yes we know yokai are Japanese yes the story may have been distorted this first time but it was such a whimsical thing we pulled out of a horror story I can’t help but remember it

The first one is the protagonist (if you can call it that) accepting a part of themselves that they were ignoring, the inclusion of the other hands implies a scenario when a close friend or the like helped them come to this conclusion
The second one is either the subject defiantly showing who they are, no matter what those around them think or believe, or sheltering themselves and sort of turning off their emotions so they won’t be hurt anymore (this second one may be biased by personal experience so feel free to ignore)
The difference between the third and fourth comes down to the art styles. The third is drawn very YouTube song animatic, where not every frame needs to be perfect because the artist is showing what they see in something preexisting, meanwhile the fourth is a grittier, Anime-adjacent style where the subtle touch of the scars on their cheek implies they have purpose in doing this, juxtaposing the carefree, adventurous look of the first. The final one shows a moment of peace where the subject has pondered and thought a lot, and now is the time for action. The subject also feels freed by this action, as if a weight has been lifted from them
