We may have had a misunderstanding here (though with the exception of Medea’s dragons, I do believe most of them are wingless) but what I was saying is that you could not have a regular D&d dragon (you used a blue dragon as an example) unless you had reflavored it to fit with Greek dragons.
speaking of dragons, what would be your lore reason for having a character be able to turn into a dragon in the first place, out of curiosity? I’m genuinely curious because it’s a fun concept :>
Well, the idea was that my character would be a descendant of Zeus, and the ability to take on the form of a dragon would be channeling her powers to enter a form better representing the powers of her godly parent. Her scales would probably be golden, maybe some white tinting or framing as well (those are the two colors I remember being associated with Zeus). What book are they mentioned in? It's been a while since I read them...
They are mentioned in Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, and also in various myths. It's also in House of Hades, as Demeter gives her charriot to Trip. So, really they are wigned snakes, BUT OTHER DRAGONS ARE SNAKES WIT HLEGS AND SNAKES WITH LEGS WITH MORE HEADS so I think that they are more modern-dragoney than other dragons, as they fly.
