plurals are stupid

English took like seven different languages and mashed them together then took like five other languages and took their grammar rules to make new grammar rules.

and then we force every other country to learn our idiot language

and then we say were smart when so many people know their native language and also the idiot language of English.

and back to plurals

we have goose turns into geese

moose turns into moose

WHY DOESNT MOOSE TURN INTO MEESE?????

and with fish. Sometimes it can be fish but then other times it become fishes

its STUPID

and with octopus. It could be octopus octopuses octopi or octopodes. I dont even remember which one is correct anymore.

and some turn into different words like mouse into mice but then deer is just deer.

 Probably. It’s the stupidest language. A bunch of other languages use feminine and masculine and neuter and all that but English just doesnt so everyone is all confused when they try to learn other languages -_-

And English sometimes has the worst words for things. I’m nongender, but using the pronouns they/them makes me feel like I’m talking about multiple people. It just sounds weird and wrong. (Gp) you English!

 True :P people should be able to come up with another word -_- also i recently learned im fae which is cool

About the plural for Octopus, it depends on where the word originally came from, which there is some debate about.

if it was originally English, then it’s Octopus.

if it was originally Latin, then Octopi.

if it was originally Greek, then Octopodes.

so yeah, English is still broken, there is just a bit (just barely) of sense to it.

 I think gender-fluid is male and female genderfae is she/her and they/them genderfaun is he/him they/them and there’s another one i dont remember
