I'm considering what kinds of abilities Viande should have. I'm thinking of making him sort of a "reverse warlock," where he's a patron who just had so much of his power stolen/given away that he's not even particularly powerful by mortal standards. He levels up by stealing back power from progressively more powerful warlocks, ones who are always a few steps ahead of him in every way.

so... i may have found both the most powerful and most lore acurate version. (i may or may not be able to do 4d12 necrotic, radient, and thunder damage in one turn, plus if they fail a con save they are deafened (though if they succeed they take half that damage))
