They aren’t. New rouge has options with sneak attack if you’re interested in those, and even the old one’s job was utility, albeit out of combat Everyone else is a half caster and gets spells. Monk is Monk (derogatory). Having a subclass built around util in the way you describe is redundant because again, battle master and imo, having two subclasses that functionally do the same thing is just bad game design (which is while cool, I don’t like the pugilist) The only class that isn’t capable of providing utility is monk, and thats kind of stretching it because you’re ignoring stunning strike and prone, which can be pretty useful.
Do martials have lots of utility? Hell no. And I do agree with the sentiment that they should be able to do things that aren’t “hit guy until he stops moving” in 9 different flavors. But as I have previously said, giving them utility in the way you described is pointless, because it’s right there, either fundamentally baked into the class (anyone who isn’t fighter) or has a subclass dedicated to it (fighter). Of course monk is still monk (derogatory)

While I understand subclasses like that are important, I’m more of a magic item / statblock homebrewer, if that makes sense.
