<No, I did start as a Town. I waited 2 days (bc this was before the limit was set and I had lots of Plantations), then grew to City, and then got all the things.>
*You can only have two plantations and no lower buildings, and with two plantations you’d still have several days to grow to city size.*
*yeah, I’m trying to remedy the situation in a fair way, they had done this before I set the building limit, having at least 4 plantations, which before the limit, is a completely fair strategy. I’m thinking of having Platy just reset to city if that’s alright with them, with the new limits.*
*Even with four plantations it would take eight days to get to city. Has this thread been around for eight days?*
*I’m sorry, my brain is… not working today. You’re right. They had 6 plantations, which meant it took 2 days. They said that in an earlier post I think? Again, sorry for confusion, I just woke up.*
Arriving at the royal court alongside four guards in bronze-and-silver armor, whom remain outside the palace, is the Grand Architect Jeeves- A small, completely smooth bronze orb only the size of an orange, which inexplicably levitates about four feet off the ground as they drift around. They walk through the crowd of castle staff, greeting and thanking all of them with a voice that absolutely radiates warmth and kindness- in fact, even those who have never met them before feel an odd sense of comfort just by being near them. While they're absolutely content to strike up friendly conversation with anyone they meet, they are also keeping a nonexistent eye out for other major powers to befriend.
A noble woman approaches the orb. She has black hair pulled back in a long braid that falls over her shoulder. She wears a rich brown gown patterned with silver details and her arms are covered in silver bangles. She bows as she approaches you and says, "You are the Grand Architect Jeeves, are you not? I am Tsazona Bajir, head of the Bajir House. I'm delighted to have the chance to meet you." She seems to be a very serious woman, not one for careless talk or wasted time.
The orb lowers slightly in its hovering height for a moment- the closest approximation to bowing slightly it can make. "Indeed I am! I am pleased to make your acquaintance as well, Ms. Bajir." They respond with all the merriment and warmth in the world in their voice, which seems to be their normal tone of speaking.
"I have read your Book of Bronze and find it to be very fascinating, though that is not what I wish to speak on. Rather, it is your mining industry. I'm not mistaken in my understanding that your people dig deep tunnels into the earth?"
"No, you're not mistaken in the least. The Gladestone Mountains have an abundance of metals and other useful minerals like salt and marble, which we work to collect- some for our own use, some for trade." It explains, almost sounding a little... wistful? "At the moment, though, we haven't had many we're able to trade with. Why do you ask?"

He lets out a low pitched sound, almost a cross between a laugh and a purr. “Unfortunately, we have very few vessels that can withstand the pull of the water into the depths below, but I am grateful nonetheless for what I was given. My supervisor has heard of a new settlement of sorts emerging recently down this swamp path, and I- well I volunteered to explore this area and map it.” The centurian says, seemingly proud of himself. “As for trade, not currently, but absolutely when supplies arrive! We have been out connecting with our neighbors, which has kept us quite busy.” The centurian straights up a bit, tail flicking. “Ah, quite rude of me, but I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Rakshahd, of Rhagoan. It is a pleasure to meet you.” He bows again a little, the stupid grin still on his face. “And while I may not have goods to trade, my friend, I do come bearing gifts!” Rakshahd unhooks his saddle bag and hands it over, unclipping the clasp.
“Good day, Rakshahd!” The sounds of the name slip easily through the crocodilian’s fanged smile. “We’d happily sell you a superior vessel, but it looks unlikely that you’re keeping a few helpers in that little boat of yours. We have similar goals, and gifts are always appreciated. We’d have some for you, but I’m afraid you caught us unprepared for visitors… but we do have food on the go and discussions to be had, if you’ll join us.”

You find the Tayr sitting upon his dais. He is speaking to what appears to be a hushed servant but waves the man away upon seeing your approach.
“Noble Tayr! Is that the correct address? My name is Nikorev, ambassador of the Autarch and world-renowned diplomat and trader, as well as accomplished scholar and student of martial practice.” Their list of accomplishments tumbles out almost too fast to follow. “The Autarch sends its deepest apologies that it could not attend your feast due to something of a logistical impossibility, and sends my humble self in its presence. I am temporarily empowered to speak on the Autarch’s behalf and hope to cultivate friendships and, most importantly, trade, that will last for many years to come.” Nikorev bows formally and then immediately resumes their lackadaisical standing position.
"Please, you can simply call me Tayr." He says with a smile. "And please give my regards to the Autarch. A trade agreement would be most welcome. I have heard you have expanded recently. It was Adelheid you established, yes?"
“Well, friend Tayr, I’m glad you feel as I do. Yes - Adelheid is just founded, after some hard labouring, and we hope it becomes prosperous in the future - and to that end I am happy to discuss arrangements of mutual benefit. To cut to the quick, what is it you are in need of?” Nikorev’s crocodilian face makes them difficult to read, but they sounds genuinely pleased, going by their tone.
He taps the side of his jaw with a ringed finger in thought. "My people are not a mining people. Not yet anyway. So the bounties of the earth are somewhat out of our reach. We also are far from any real body of water... and our land has few trees. Wood and wooden items, metals, jewels, these are all things we would happily trade for. In return, we have a wide variety of dyes, the finest wool you can find, livestock, and a wealth of crops."
“Ah, this presents numerous difficulties. We too lack any large stocks of lumber, and the clay wetlands of my home are very dangerous to even consider mining in. Our goods primarily consist of crops and produce, alcohol, and ornaments of bone.. which I am lead to understand your people value considerably less than mine - and our expertise in boat-building and clay artisanship. But you have also piqued my curiosity? How is it you construct this wondrous hall without wood and metal? Surely your wealth cannot be so great you have simply bought the material you need?”
