(Arima squints) "tis not serious as that" (Arima explains) "Im sorry ya took it that way lad. Well done for overthrowing the tyrant though, that itself is an accomplishment" (Arima pulls his sword out from its giant sheath) "This sword was handed down to me from me Great Grandad, he fought to take the Ward back" (the sword gleams in the sunlight as Arima inspects it) "Strongest metal they had back then, quite the feat they managed to shape it at all"
“How interesting…” he inspects the sword in awe. “Never seen something like that before… the oldest and most expensive things in Caterinna are in the Lyrebird’s Landing, where Lord Gregory used to live, but I’ve never really seen something such as this in person, only heard about it. Even the Lauriers don’t know all of what’s in that castle, they only took residence there four months ago, and Lady Bouclaire has yet to renovate it.”
(Arima reads off the runic on the side) "Skarshard, Might of Anteiku" (Arima puts the sword back in its thick rough leather sheath, a noise similar to sharpening a sword could be heard as he does so) "its good to know your history, your already doing better than most City-folk I've encountered"
He chuckles. “Well, Lady Bouclaire is planning to eventually expand Old Caterinna, maybe even establish a few new settlements to turn Vallereine from a simple city-state into something more… a nation, even. But that’s a ways away, and Old Caterinna needs repairs and restoration.”
(Arima nods with understanding) "I know the feeling of wanting more, I feel on the long road it is not always best"
“And why might that be?” Ambassador Nicholas asks, genuinely curious.
"Indeed, good relations are priceless." He glances around at his surroundings, "Not as nice as it will soon be. I am currently in the middle of a redecorating process so everything is quite plain. I need to finish it but there are always so many other pressing matters at hand."
“Always. The work never seems to slow down or stop, so we may as well enjoy the process.” He bows his head slightly, pressing a palm to the right side of his chest. “My name is Khassahn of Rhagoan. Our lack of contact with outside settlements has left us rather unfortunately uninformed. I would love to hear your name, madjai, and perhaps a bit about your people.”
“I’d be pleased to share this information if you return the favor.” He smiles with pleasure, “I am Tayr Siyef, some call me Underborn. I’m the Tayr of Hoeb and all of her people are mine. The Hoebites are a strong and proud people and my ancestors have ruled them for generations. I’m sure you have seen our fields and our flocks as you’ve traveled our lands. We have a long history of shepherding and working the earth but I like to think that my people are specially fond of beauty. I heard you received a book of poems from Shunab Arsit? He is one of our countries finest writers.”
*I can’t stay but I’m up for continuing things overtime here because that seems to be the style of this thread*
*Oh yea no worries, whenever you get to it :)*
”I have. It was very beautiful writing, the type I’ve never seen before.” He says honestly. “Writing I once thought was solely for the use of record keeping and numerals. It’s revolutionary to introduce the concept of storytelling to a written form. As for your livestock, I’m unfamiliar with the breeds. I didn’t know.. goats.. could grow wool like that. And those yaks are nearly hairless. How do you defend them against the creatures of the night, leaving them all in the open like that?”
His brow furrows. Your people sound strange to him. "Yes, writing is much more than a practical tool. It is a way to express thought, belief, joy, and pain. It is an art. Arsit is one of our greatest poets. The best example of my people's work. But my personal favorite is Samsi Tolimed. Her poems... they strike me more. Perhaps... we look at the world through similar eyes." He chuckles, "Our goats are very valuable to our infrastructure and I'd wager that their hair is the finest in all the lands. It's what we make our carpets from. And do you... do you speak of our bulls? Our shepherds watch over them. I have seen young herders who could hit a fly sitting on a man's head with their sling and the man wouldn't have noticed! Their hounds are also valuable in guarding against predators."
"I see you have some exotic beasts of your own. That is a magnificent creature you have there." He gestures to your leopard mount. "And you yourself... I've never seen a man quite like you. Your country must be a fabulous place."

Their ear flicks, and they nod. “Of course. That would be amazing actually. Our town is mostly a mining town, with a rather large quarry to work with. We also have a good amount of meats and leathers, as well as weapons and armor.”
“Wonderful, then! We have a surplus of fish that we would be open to trade with. Strange little creatures, they are, with bright colors and all, but they are delicious. Called Laurier Trout.”
They nod. “And what can we offer you? While you’re here, would you like anything to eat or drink?”

Paracelsus takes the map in his hands, and runs his fingers over it “Alrighty then. And don’t bother thanking us for being kind. Basic kindness is something everyone deserves.”
They withdraw a glass orb from their satchel, a crystal gem inside of it. Maja gently hands it over. “Please. I insist. A token of my gratitude. It is infused with the ice of the mountain, and remains forever cold. It serves well to enchant a weapon or cool a storage.”
Octavio takes it in his hands “Many thanks to you. Now, if you’ll excuse us, me and my colleague have some more things to discuss.”
“Of course.” They nod and politely turn to exit.

“Yes, our armor is specially crafted from wyvern and dinosaur scales, making them specially lightweight. As for our weapons, they are made of reinforced bone and metal.” Tese takes a warm canister from their pack, offering it to him. “Steamed goat’s milk and caramel.” It whispers, as to not disturb the conversation.
