 In the undergrowth of the forest, where the trees hang a little lower and the bushes are thicker than usual - the part where nymphs generally reside - is a thrashing, horse-like creature. It’s struggling, the upper half of it caught in some branches, with… what look to be massive curved bull horns? The creature - now clearly visible as a centaur - is trying to pull itself out of the tangled mess. He has long russet-toned hair in sea-salted beach waves, with a roman nose and tawny toned skin. The dappled centaur is wearing full hoplite plate, with golden barding on its lower half and hooves. The centaur’s hooves are cloven and sharpened into points, its tail cut short and braided. It’s swearing repeatedly in ancient greek, slurring its words.

 Chase examines the trap, trying to figure out how it works. 

 “HAH-“ the centaur snorts, shaking its head trying to dislodge its horns. “Trees- ha- my weakness- you will not stop me from glory! HUZZAH!” 

It doesn’t look to be a trap. The centaur’s horns are just tangled in a bunch of vines, and it seems too intoxicatedly uncoordinated to dislodge itself.

 "Might have, maybe we had the same mom."

"Thinking abouuuut, what?"

 “Then we would be whole brothers, I would love to have any kind of brother, but a whole brother would be awesome.”

 “What I did, why, if I’ll do it again.”

 "Well, we're related atleast." he smiles and stretches out a bit. 

"Oh, well. I dunno. If you do do it again, try and make sure it's not me or cordon."

 He smiles back at them, sitting back down “Do you like fishing?”

 “It won’t be, killing either of you would be too hard, Cordon almost got me, but it looks like I almost got him to. I won’t… I’ll try.”

“Who are you fighting?” 

"EVAN! JUST! LEAVE!"

With a shout, the flames sear up again, driving you out of the forest.

 “Ashley I’m not going to let you get hurt!” 

"And I'm not letting you get hurt either! Leave! NOW!" The swords clash again, a loud clang reverberating through the burning forest.

 “Just tell me who you’re fighting!” 

"Evan! This fight is for me, and me alone! It's too dangerous! You never should have been here in the first-" a cry of pain slips through her mouth, along with the sickning sound of metal entering flesh. the smoke disipates, the fire dies down, and... you see Ashley, kneeling on the ground, a pitch plack sword imbeded in her stomach, sucking the flickering glow from her skin. Holding that blade, is... a shadow? It's a pitch black figure, no details you can see, just holding the blade in Ashley's stomach, ashley's own blade off to the side, slipped loose from her hands, it's golden luster shining blistfully unaware of the plight of it's weilder.

 “STOP!” He yells, shooting lightning at it. Dice rolls not yet available for this section. for Dice rolls not yet available for this section. damage

The shadow gets hit with the bolt, and lets go of his sword, still impaled in Ashley. It turns around, and faces Evan. It speaks in a garbled voice,

"Hhhello, Boy... Ttthis iss not yyour figght. Lleavve now, and you sshhall be spared."

 “No way! Step away from her!”

 “Just take mine, you’re the one that made it.” They unhook it and offer it to him

He shakes his head, “I’m going to make a new one, and that one’s yours, I won’t take it.”

He hears the sound of approaching hoofbeats, and gets a round to react. “AHA! My first worthy oppoonnnetn!” A loud voice proclaims from the left. Their voice is deeper, with a distinct Grecian accent, their words slurring. “Face me, demigod! Ha.. at least I.. will not be fighting children -hic-“ A rather large, bull horned centaur charges from the bushes, a massive hooked spear in one hand and a phalanx-styled shield in the other.

"... Oh great."

 “GLORRRYYYYY!” The centaur bumrushes him, a little unsteady on its feet as it points its spear forward.

Attack: 19 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.
Attack: 21 Damage: 10

STR save if any hit, as well as a DEX save.
