*I'd definitely recommend it. While in my option Skyrim has significantly better world building and better environmental storytelling (plus dragons and werewolves, can't go wrong with those), Oblivion has what I feel to be a better main quest and better faction quests. It can be a bit campy at times though, and hasn't really lost any of it with the remaster. But I like it, its nostalgic for me as my first non-Nintendo game*
