"Honestly... Probably during this one Capture the Flag game. So, the Athena cabin was gonna sneak behid Zeus's Fist to get to the grove of all the tall trees, so someone could climb up there and direct the flow of combat, the other times this grove was off limits, but now that it was added, we knew exactly what they were gonna do. So, I had a bunch of spiders hanging around in my backpack, as one does, so I made sure to put a few spiders in the top two tallest tree, because they were planning that we would think they would climb the tallest and go to the second tallest tree, but just incase they were reverse reverse psychologying us, we did the tallest as well, so it started raining Athena kids."

Sadhbán’s whole body jerks like they’ve been hit by a taser, and they fall backward gracelessly with a soft thump. Blood leaks from both their ears and the corner of their mouth. Angelo thinks he seems them flicker, for a moment, about to disappear, but then their form solidifies, and they remain lying sprawled there, fresh blood mingling with the other leftover speckles dried on their face, staring up at the sky.
Angelo swears like four times, fumbling for the rest of his legally acquired ambrosia to try to feed to them. He checks their pulse and vitals.
