"Dang, that's wild. Sounds like a good guy to know." Swirling bubble letters forming indecipherable words balloon on the iron page. "Speaking of pocket dimensions, was that little private mansion dimension one of your Dark Artes?"

"Heh heh, now that's proof that the adage ain't true. I say you save a lot of time if you just leave the mess messy. Things are just going to get dirty again, why waste precious breathes and heartbeats? You only have so many and I don't want to spend them on dusting the furniture."

'Just because a fight isn't winnable doesn't mean it isn't worth fighting. Sometimes, you have to stick with things regardless of of it's a pain. We're all here with a purpose, and that's not always fun. Do I like my job? Of course I do. Do I like running from mortals, questioning whether I'm wrong, knowing that at the end of the road it's the death penalty, just for the next guy to take over? Do I like knowing that, even then, my successor is doomed to fail? Like some great cosmic game of Tom and Jerry, that I'm always going to lose? But that's my job. I'm the villain of the piece. And I sure as anything am gonna play that role til the end'

He looks at you and you think you spot a glimmer... of respect. "We're all characters in some sort of story, friend. I guess you'll play the villain who mops his floors."

"I've been living. Driving fast, playing music loud, branding my mark on every wall, train and fence post that can take my prescient paint. Making friends and growling at chained up dogs who growl back. Smashing windows with baseballs and bullet holes and trampling the petunias underneath my boots. Scratching my name on bathroom stalls and burning gasoline. I do my best to stay alive, man."

"Some, but nothing bad. It's actually been real quiet lately. Maybe folks are just tired of me, or maybe it's the calm before the storm." He shrugs. The paint on the train is starting to look like a devilish cat chasing a fleeing mouse.

*what is your character? Are they a human or a Nightmare really?*
You guys are awesome and mean so much to me. And mean so much to each other.

Roadkill Charlie is spraying some graffiti onto a stopped train car.
'Ah, nice to see you, Charlie'
You guys are awesome and mean so much to me. And mean so much to each other.
"Hey Iago," He says as the vibrant vapors spraying from his can blanket the rusted metal of the train car. "What's happening?"
'Not a load. Nearly got kidnapped. By a kid. Turns out he was friendly, though. Had the power to generate pocket dimensions as well. Could be useful'
