seriously have you looked at what we are not allowed to talk about? I'm not even suppose to tell you if I prefer Loth or Timora. Also I'm curious why we have a quote button if we are not allowed to "name and shame". I don't even know if I'm allowed to post this. I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you I might not be allowed to post this. I can't remember if this is agressive or passive agressive but I didn't see anything about that in the guidelines.
Thanks I should have provided a link. But telling people they are free to discuss a list of things they aren't allowed to discuss seems dangerous. I mean not that I'm saying your wrong. I learned the hard way what happens when you point out some one with an orange sword by their name is wrong...,but I'm not allowed to talk about it.
Yes, discussing Moderator based actions is against the rules. That's what PMs are for.
Discussing Moderator Based Actions
Actions taken against a member of the community are not to be discussed in public on the forums. Opinions about specific moderators or moderator actions (locking, deleting threads, etc) are also not to be discussed in posts or threads.
If you have questions, remarks, suggestions or complaints about moderating in general or specific moderators, please contact a site administrator through a private message.
Bans can now be appealed. More information on how to do that is provided in the private message you'll receive when banned.
Feel free to discuss what rules you feel are unfair, what you would like in place of them, and if you believe the warning system we currently implement is just. We have a group of mods that work as a team and often times decisions are made as a group. If a decision needs to be backed up by staff or altered by staff, they have the power to do so.
Well that's good to hear. I would like to say I think mods should be held publicly accountable. Especially now while the forums are young and we have basicly in vetted mods.
For example mods should not use mod powers in discussions they are participating in. You pm another mod and they make the call. It's not perfect I mean your probably going to contact the mod you feel is most sympathetic to you but it puts a buffer between making a bad decision because your mad and the right decision because your a mod. It use to be pretty standard back in the day.
