[Thank you so much! I've been thinking for a while on who I want to play as a casual character, since I've got the King and his Advisor, which I'm yet to introduce, but they're so powerful and important that they're more there for lore and big events than anything! My idea was always to have a character that was chasing his Soliloquy, earlier today my mind just wandered and bundled all the magic lore I had into that big ball, which I then had to try and unravel whilst writing it XD, though I think it makes sense in the most part, the TL;DR is effectively: You can only really create and change with magic, everything else is an adaptation of that. My guy is looking for the final part of that cycle, destruction. Like you said, part of that theory is that life is harder to make than objects, objects and life are both as hard to physically change since it's just the material altered, and so objects must be harder to destroy than life, which yeah, would definitely lead to him talking to the Dark Lady, especially since her Soliloquy feels like a step towards his in a way!]

those who, for some ungodly reason, seek out the Dark Lady, can find her in one of three places. The first is the catacombs, a structure built beneath most of the city, holding millions of corpses: a place of rest for the dead. The second is at Asphodel’s gate, the center of the largest graveyard in Kraftstadt, which is also an entrance to the catacombs. The third is Neverwell Tower in the inner city, a tall structure that was built atop the mausoleum of an ancient Wyrm who used to serve as one of the city’s great generals. Few people ever go in to the Mausoleum, and fewer scale Neverwell Tower, but it’s rumored that it is one of the lairs of the Dark Lady- if she exists, of course.

“I believe the greatest act of rebellion in this world is staying soft.”
A tall young man of about eighteen years old is standing in the streets. He wears vibrant clothes, his bright green hair is a complete mess as if he has never brushed it once in his life, and his eyes are two different colors-one red, the other yellow. His shirt is made of bright blue fabric, his pants are a beautiful shade of purple. His shoes are orange and look very fancy, and he wears a pair of spectacles that are tinted all the colors of the rainbow. As he walks down the streets, he lightly taps a young woman with purple hair, and then he suddenly has purple hair and she has green hair. He continues to skip down the streets, exchanging colors with everyone he sees until he looks like a completely different person, with purple hair, blue and orange eyes, green shoes, a red shirt, and yellow pants. Behind him, people are starting to yell in fright as they notice that their clothing, hair, and eyes have changed color. The young man winks at them, and lightly taps everyone he stole from, returning them to their normal colors, leaving him with ordinary blonde hair, brown eyes, and regular black clothing. He continues to walk down the streets, careful not to bump into anyone.
Sitting nearby a 15 year old mage with shaggy hair the color of water and blue eyes is focusing on what appears to be air.
“Beautiful hair. May I take it?” He asks, a wide smile on his face.
He laughs. “No.”
“I’m not joking, friend!”
“You couldn’t take it, it’s not a wig.”
“I cannot take the hair itself, but I can take the color.”
He laughs. He is still focusing on the air.
“Why do you keep laughing?”
“Why not?”
“I am telling the truth!”
*gtg*
“Are you though.”
*Wamp!*
He lightly taps the boy on the shoulder, and his hair is suddenly the same blue as the boy.

It’s not uncommon to see those riding through town on horseback, yet much less common to see a horse of such a caliber, with a rider of indiscriminate features held up not by confidence but instead what has likely been years of martial discipline. The sleek beast snorts a puff of air through its nostrils, the horse’s eyes an unnatural and malevolent vermillion color. Its musculature is nearly fully hidden under the steel barding adorned with arcane runes and knightly covering, bearing colors and symbols of a foreign land. Its hooves have been reinforced with spiked steel, its tail docked, the bridle fastened with no bit.
Its rider remains calm in composure, only the slight nudge of the reigns hinting at their control over their steed. Dressed in a graying cloak with hand-sewn patterns of the sun, only the lower half of their face is visible, with the curls of a deep brownish-red hair poking out underneath. Their skin is a deep toffee hue, with a sharp nose crooked slightly as if it had been broken once before. A few tattoos cover the barely visible parts of their neck, the rest hidden under burnished, lightweight armor that seems to be crafted to perfectly fit their form. Hanging at their side is a one handed jian sword, fully sheathed, the hilt bearing a reddish ribbon tied around it. Clanking against their other side is a deadly looking, modified crossbow, a sawblade-like bolt already pre-loaded. Their boots are spiked as well, the underside shaped sort of like a horse-shoe. Everything this person is carrying - or at least, everything that’s visible - looks to be some item designed to kill or cause harm.
As the mounted hunter passes, people seem to sort of shrink away slightly in discomfort, a few pulling their coats closer over their arms. The rider seems to emit some sort of.. cold, empty aura. The feeling of a chill running up through the skin, the veins, rendering their magic null and void, as if they had lost a sixth sense of theirs entirely. The rider seems to pay no mind to this reaction, continuing onwards with a map in hand.

Loschen fastens his satchel as he makes his way towards Asphodel's Gate. He's heard of a mysterious mage, the Dark Lady they call her, one that controls the fabric of life and death so closely it is as if she's got the scales of mortality in her palm. Whilst a risky encounter, her expertise are what draw Loschen in. The ability to extinguish the life of a creature spontaneously is one not to be taken lightly, however Loschen believes if he can alter such a spell so that when the magical energy of the soul collapses, it snags the body and draws that into oblivion with it, he'll be on track for a spell built for annihilation. For objects he'll then have to find a way to do the same thing without a magical energy source; perhaps a transmutation to give the item a soul? But no, then that's not true destruction, like disintegration, it would only be taking extra steps to achieve the same thing. The results of this encounter will draw up the boundaries for what Loschen can achieve in this direction, if he can find the Dark Lady, of course...

Asphodel’s gate stands tall at the center of the graveyard. A pavilion with six pillars, sculpted into the forms of grinning skeletons holding up the structure, with a black tiled roof inscribed with hundreds of arcane runes that have been the study of many mages past. the skeleton sculptures that make up each of the pillars each carry a torch, one that glows with a bright amethyst light. At the center is a winding staircase that leads deep down into part of the catacombs.
Loschen feels a sudden chill run down his spine. The wind dies down, and is replaced by the flapping of wings, of some large creature landing on the pavilion’s roof, and the sound of someone suddenly following him from behind, their footsteps matching his, easily heard on the ancient stones. It seems the dark lady has found him.

[I’m going to bed now but I’ll respond when I’m up!]
He turns to see the dark lady, wearing layers of intricately designed black fabrics, decorated with raven feathers and red roses. Her hair, a deep crimson read, flits and floats around her as if swaying in the wind- but there is no wind. Her skin is pale as the moonlight, and the scythe-staff she wields is sharp it seems to cut through the very air. She smiles, her lips black, as she takes a step towards him, leaning on her scythe. She’s at least as tall as he is, if not taller, and beckons him to approach her with a red gloved hand. She reeks of death. Not of corpses. Not of rot. Not of decay. Just… whatever death itself is supposed to smell like, that is her.
the darkness around her shifts slightly, and only when a pair of golden eyes open in the night sky does Loschen realize that standing behind the Dark Lady, on all-fours, is a dragon-like… raven-thing, with feathers darker than the depths of the underworld. Two pairs of enormous wings that seem to catch and snuff out the starlight, a beak lined with teeth that glisten like knives, and claws that are thin and slender, treading carefully amongst the graveyard-… its giant. Forty, fifty feet long at least. It seems to be the Dark Lady’s pet.

Loschen straightens up. The Dark Lady is certainly imposing, and hardly looks human. He tries not to focus on the 'pet' at all; all it seems to him is another unnecessary audience member to this already tense conversation that he'd rather have disappear. Stepping forward, he bows and says 'It is an honour to come face to face with the Dark Lady of the Catacombs. I heard much of your strength, and that is why I have sought out you and your potential council. I am working on an ambitious arcane project, and I would like some guidance from you on your specialty to help accel its pace. However, it is not funding I seek; I can manage that well enough myself, instead it is information on your signature spell. This is because I am working to create a spell that completes the trifecta of magic; as a first class mage yourself, you must have recognised how magic can be broken down into creation and alteration, or a mix of those two, and I want to find pure destruction magic. I believe your ability to influence life and impose death could be a key concept to the fulfilment of my dream, and I would be indebted if you could reveal more about the inner workings of such a spell.'
A young mage, maybe 8 years old, runs through the tight streets of the outer city. His dirty brown hooded cape flutters behind him, nearly identical to his brown hair save for a streak of yellow hair, standing out from the rest. Two other children, about his age, chase behind him, laughing. As the boy runs, he begins... Croaking. "Ribbit ribbit. Ribbit RIBBIT ribbit ribbit. RIIIIBBIIIIT!!!" As the strange noises leave his lips, his lock of yellow hair glows a dark green, and he bends his legs, jumping up onto the roof of a nearby building that is easily 30 feet tall. As he hops from rooftop to rooftop, the other children stand there, dumbfounded. The boy chuckles to himself, "Ribbit."

She listens to him speak carefully, deathly silent and smiling ever so slightly. “You wish to find a method of absolute destruction, and so you come to the one true master of ending mortal life?“ she chuckles slightly. “I admire the bravery. The last person who sought me out tried to drive a stake through my heart… this is refreshing. I’ll help you with your endeavor then, I suppose…” she draws a sigil in the grave soil with her staff, which begins to glow with a light lavender hue. The light leaps up from the sigil and swirls around Loschen in dozens of tiny glowing motes, before quickly fading. Once it’s over, he suddenly feels… healthier. More alive. Refreshed.
”that should keep my defense systems from dissolving you.” she mentions casually, walking past him to Asphodel’s gate, beckoning him to follow. Her pet Raven-thing seemingly disappears, though its shadow can be seen, cast by the torches in the pavilion, as it snakes across the ground to follow her. “To whom do I owe the pleasure of working with?” She asks, not looking up as she begins to descend the staircase into the catacombs.

He goes to jump off the roof, then pauses, remembering he's no longer enchanted. "Whelp, guess I'm up here now." he says. He looks around, then runs to the back of the building. He walks out of an alleyway a few seconds later. "I found a ladder going down. My name's Ivan." He sticks his hand out for a handshake.

The colormage looks up at the child on the rooftop and smiles, waving. “That looks fun!” He calls.
"Ribbit. Ribbit ribbit ribbit." He nods his head "ribbit rib-but when I use this magic, my voice always... Wait, it wore off already?" He looks surprised.
He holds his hand out and shakes it. “I am the Colormage. My name is Flavian.”

*AHH Shiver that is the most interesting piece of writing I’ve seen today. All of the praise*
*i have an idea for a possible interaction: Loschen wants to prove that pure destruction spells would be able to end life easier than objects, and who better to talk to about ending life than someone who is possibly the most knowledgeable death witch in Kraftstadt: the Dark Lady of the Kraftstadt Catacombs?*

*alrighty then! This will be a really fun interaction, I know it*
those who, for some ungodly reason, seek out the Dark Lady, can find her in one of three places.

[Yeah I think it will be too!]

The colorful young man skips up to the hunter and taps his horse lightly. His eyes become a deep red and the horse’s eyes turn blue and gold. He smiles. “Hope you like the gift!”

[Cut with Arch!]
