Vineyards and fields of wheat stretch across the horizon, the sun setting and the stars starting to twinkle. A huge building sits atop a hill, a mansion. Owned by the adventurer’s guild, the mansion is a home for quests and travelers looking for help. A group of armored guards patrol the fields, and one steps inside the mansion.
The mansion was owned centuries ago by King Luke, one of his summer homes. After the rebellion, his summer homes were distributed to the different guilds of the country. Now, the mansion is more of an inn, the rooms occupied by adventurers, the bar always busy.
Torchlight illuminates the mansion in the night, and the light falls upon a large board, a few people scribbling down things on paper and sticking them to the board. The famed quest board-for a long time, it was tended to, but now, the people who post their quests simply wait as adventurers reap the benefits of their titles and do not complete quests. These days, adventurers tend to be rich children of nobles who stay full time at the mansion.
Hello! I made this tavern as sort of an introductory tavern for people who wanted to get into roleplaying on the forums. It has more of a campaign vibe, since the quest board has a ton of quests you can complete. Feel free to make up world details for your character’s backstory, and you can make as many characters as you’d like. Misselin, the country the tavern is set in, is the most developed, and I’d like for people to stick to reasonable backstories if their characters are from Misselin. The world will be developed as we go! I may veto some backstories, but if I do not veto it, consider it solid world lore.
So welcome friends, I invite you inside. First, I’ll present a few rules.
Keep things appropriate, please. Keep gore low, and no 18+ scenes. If you REALLY want to do that… do it in PMs.
Try to be respectful. Nobody likes a jerk.
Do not use swear words, if you need to curse, say (GP) instead.
Cut your quote chains! It’s a hard lesson to learn, but it must be learned.
Speak OOC like *this*
If someone tells you not to do something because it triggers them, please do not do it.
Listen to the mods! For now just me, but I’m recruiting!
Remember the rules of permission, permission to attack, permission to kill, permission to romance, permission to hurt, permission to do anything sexual.
Put something you want to see in this world in your first post to show you’ve read the rules! It’s okay if you don’t want to see anything, just acknowledge this rule.
No godmodding, unless you are an actual mod.
No fighting inside the mansion. There is a safety field that does not let anyone come to harm.
New rules and lore may be added, I will announce them if so.
THE QUEST BOARD:
The Quest Board is what the tavern revolves around. Quests will have an amount of money paid for completing them-most of the easy quests are instantly taken by lazy adventurers, and they all pay about the same.
Quests: To start completing quests, you must first sign up for the adventurer’s guild. It’s a fairly simple process.
A group of thieves have made camp near here and are robbing nearby towns at night. Please scare them away! Reward, 30 gold pieces
A dragon has made home in the nearby mountains. Defeat it and you will receive it’s hoard. Reward, dragon’s hoard.
A small demon has been kidnapping village children. Please bring them back! Reward, 100 gold pieces
