The brush of wind comes before the person themself ----- a gentle, pulling thing, like the tide underfoot. A hideous grin covers the person's face ---- but no, not quite. Port wine stains dot the left side of the person's face, while a long lock of coffee-colored hair obscures the other from view. They stand lower than it appeared before ----- a measly four foot at best, diminutive compared to most of the rest here. That doesn't seem to deter them, however. They stride confidently up to the bar, hat in hand, and rap on the table. "A drink, please..." comes in a loud, jarring brogue. "As strong as you have. I've spent plenty a day getting to this place..."
"You won't find anything good here." An armored figure declares, standing at around 6'2. In his paw is a mug of ale half gone. The arctic lion man has seen decades of war and time.
“Are’ye speakin’ o’ th’ale, or o’the people? An’ how bad do you mean? ‘Cause I don’t need nothin’ beyond ‘decent’ here for ‘ither.” When they’re not speaking formally, their at least decent accent begins to deteriorate into a nearly unintelligible conglomeration of words and noises that sound only barely scraped out of their vocal cords.
They motion him to sit. “An’, who are ye? Only tha’ I haven’t seen the likes o’ye before.”
He sits, smiling, his one working eye shining. "I mean the ale, lad. Can't quite speak for the people yet."
