1(most boring):There are herbivores

2(second most boring):There are omnivores

3(a bit more exciting): There is no answer, the ecosystem is failing, I support this answer with Galien, who we find deep inside Deepnest. He almost certainly died of starvation, considering he is so, so far from the Mantis Tribe door. He couldn't have died from battle wounds, because he wouldn't run away, and he wasn't killed by the weavers, because, well, they would've eaten him. I don't know much about lifeblood but he might have died from the bubble above his arena.

4(least likely, but very funny): The ecosystem is a circle

 Well, with the weird, irritating Hallownest Citizen Mimics, I think its safe to assume that they just... eat the other citizens.

 The question is more so how they even established an ecosystem down in Deepnest in the first place, if they were eating other citizens, you'd think they wouldn't choose to a make a home where are no citizens spare for a few wanderers

 Maybe the predators eat the other predators? That seems like an option. I feel like the Dirtcarvers could be a potential source of food for the weavers. Maybe they're cultivating dirtcarvers somewhere, but we aren't able to access that place? I dunno, but the weavers seem smarter than just dying like losers.

Not all the creatures in game have to be the only existing creatures tho.. Just the ones that are big or important enough to care about.
