“Of course, of course. My head has not been the same since… well. I needn’t share more. You are the goddess of… infinity? The multiverse? Possibilities?”
"The Multiverse." Yuki clasps her hands in front of her.
“Interesting. Have you time for a philosophical conversation?”
"Time is always on my side, and yes."
“Do you believe in different timelines? Do those even exist, or are they just dreams, the fragments of memories that never happened?”
"Yes, and they do exist. Whenever you sleep and dream, you see through the eyes of a different version of yourself. You might have different hair, or be another creature entirely. If you ever dreamed and later that day it came true, you probably visited a reality that is ahead of this one."
“But… if something happened that you didn’t like… does the reality where what you wanted to happen happened exist somewhere?”
"Yes, every choice you make, makes another universe."

“Interesting. And you know this for sure?”
"Yes, for there wouldn't be a multiverse without choices."

Yuki walks and cuts the air with her hand and dissappears through the cut air, reappearing at a random location.
*Anyone can choose where she ends up.*
It’s night. The waves crash against a beach so pale gray it looks silver, and the moon shines down high in the sky, obscured by canopies of black plants. Purple berries hang from the plants, and the moon, which was already blotted out, is covered by a vulture, who lets out a single cry and then flies towards something in the distance. In the air, you smell poison and rot. And oddly enough, there are signs around you saying things like “dangerous, get away!” Melancholic music drifts through the air in the same direction that the vulture went.
A vulture flies through the air, carrying something massive, dead, in its talons. From the direction it came in, she sees an island, a shadow in the night.
