I enjoy homebrewing settings (or at least trying to), and I enjoy a well-done homebrew, and occasionally DM.
Working on my homebrew setting is probably my favorite pasttime (besides reading). It's really fun.
I am a homebrew FIEND.
Be happy about this.
I enjoy drawing and take pride in it's mediocrity.
I wish I could say the same... I'm a perfectionist but a terrible artist, which is not a good combination.

Hi - I've had a few brushes with D&D but never found a regular group to take it up seriously. I'm keen to get stuck into some content on here and hopefully become a competent player, and ultimately a DM!
Hello this is my first time trying d and d even though I have been wanting to play it for ages I just do not have the people to play it with would you be interested in helping me start?

Good luck 😊. You can probably find a group to play online with here.
@Thauraeln_The_Bold what do you think? Maybe you can help them?
Hello, i am a filam based here in the united states, I am currently starting to play DND where now it is a bit more less restricted but before the lockdown and quarantine we was playing a lot of RPG games online, especially a lot of the classics such as ragnarok and runescape, other than that do have a passion for custom keyboards and working out..
Hi, I’m from Thailand, but live in Texas over 10 years. I never play this game before, however, I’m very interested in this game a lot, but all my closed friends non of them are gamer. I’m willing to learn how to play this game and enjoy as much as I can. I usually have free time on Saturday 11:00am-2:30pm on central time. By the way, I’m just turn 40 few months ago.
My character is high elves - rouge
Please, let me know if I needs something for play this game.
I'm Gradius and I LOVE Lord of the Rings (See for yourself on the lotr cult how much I post!) I've been playing dnd for only about half a year but it quickly rose to the top in terms of favorite games! I love pbp and you can call me very weird and crazy!
Here, in the Realms, Ive carried a few names. Ranxaeroth. The Cheshire Dragon (since 1989 to the rest of you imposters), Darromere, Mikasha and of late, Xamiel.
I began this wonderous journey in 1989 with 1st Edition, still have ALL the books and modules, then moved on to 2nd. My group wasnt really interested in 3rd and by 3.5, most of us were out of the U.S. Marines and moved on with life.
Life interrupted gaming through 3rd, and 4th editions, so, missed anything they brought up. (From what Ive seen on forums, I didn’t miss a lot.)
My 25 year old son and his wife began playing in the Army about 3 years ago, followed closely by my 20 year old daughter in college. This brought me back to the table as it were.
So, I haunt forums, float silently (mostly) around the fringes, learning, listening, getting books together etc. Preparing for the day of my return and to emerge from the Valley of the Mage to once again send shivers of fear and earthquakes throughout Oerth.
As I don’t have a group, I travel a lot taking care of Mom and Mom in law in opposite parts of the country alternating with family, I am resigned to writing, and / or rewriting various Greyhawk history from our previous campaigns in order to lay the world out for upcoming campaigns.
I am also creating a new world, and creating a few new items to go in it. Spelljammer is a large part of the new world as is Rune magic, but not this 5E stuff. The Rune Magic we wrestled for nearly a year in campaign to get from the giants, and a few other beings out past the far reaches of Kara-Tur.
I’m constantly on the lookout for maps. Maps of castles, Fantasy (not Sci-fi) space stations,( think “Crown of Corellon”) and some ideas for Mythal properties. (See Myth Drannor for Mythal references).
Currently, I’m writing short stories, creating items and reading up on 5E and hope to bring 2e forward into the 5E world. Loving the Eberron setting and especially the warforged…..now, how to bring that to Greyhawk with anything less than a cosmic catastrophe….oh wait, here comes a member of the Izzet Guild now…….
Currently, I’m 53 in body, about 20-ish mentally, and feel like 128, but still kicking so that’s a bonus.
Hope to see you all around the realms. Pleasure to make your acquaintance.
>His introduction finished, he steps off the podium, bows his head slightly, and walks slowly and silently over to a corner where a chair solidifies out of the mist. A grand chair, in the shape of a small tree, branches slightly overhanging the seat. Wide arms draping downward in a wooden cascade. Upon one arm a stone mug, steaming, and a faint smell of dark, sweet cherries and strong coffee, gently floats around the room. Placing his ebony staff in a notch on the right arm, a staff crowned with an ornate silver dragon holding a slightly glowing diamond, he sits, takes up the mug and lifts it in salute to the room.<

I've been playing D&D since I was about 12 years old, and I'm currently 36 years old. Mostly playing table top, but recently moved over to roll20/Discord. My love of the fantasy genre began when my dad gave me his third edition hardback copy of The Hobbit. I mostly now play D&D, or Warcraft, and I also enjoy LARP. I tend to enjoy the roleplay with with other characters, and solving puzzles, more than combat. I've been quiet on the forums, but have started to meander around and check out the topics.
Thought I'd share some of my larp characters with you.
This is my Imperial Orc, for the larp system "Empire", he's an NPC for around 2000 players.
Another photo of my Imperial Orc, for the larp system "Empire", acting as Gate Guardian.
This is my Goblin, for the larp system "Skullduggery", he's a nasty piece of work, but good at diplomacy.
This is my Goblin, for the larp system "Curious Pastimes", he's a simply woodland folk, curious about the world around.
Any others here, who've manage to find similar outlets for roleplay?

Hey! You've taken the first step into a really fun hobby. There is soooo much to it, but getting started is really not tough (as a player or DM). Some good references to starting out would be videos made by Matt Coleville (Running the Game series). It explains it well and makes it feel very comfortable.

Hi, I'm Bree!
I only really got into D&D recently when my friend wanted to DM, and now I'm hooked.
I may not be good at understanding things, but damn do I make things tense between the characters.
My two main characters are Brea (Wood Elf Bard) and Zig (Halfling Ranger/Druid).
I look forward to meeting you all :)
