Hi there folks, feel free to introduce yourselves here. Tell us all how you got into gaming and a little about what else you like! I think it will be fun!
I am a happily married father of two from Northern Ireland. I am 36 and have been playing since 2nd edition. I mainly play 5e and am usually a DM though I do have two characters. Dralik, a tiefling fighter and Sir Ronald, a hedge knight who has seen better days.
I enjoy reading and mostly like Conan novels and the Dune series.
My favourite movies are Star wars, the big lebowski and bladerunner.
I also play Battletech and Warhammer 40k. Oh and I love Nintendo!
I am a 36 year-old IT RPG fanatic with many years DMing (GMing) for everyone that crosses my path. I Spent 6 years in the USAF spreading the holy word of DnD throughout my travels and deployments before finally settling down to create a party of my own. I enjoy all RPGs, but DnD is in my blood and I always find myself returning to it. I don't like Beta testing products since I'm in the IT business, but I'm looking forward to seeing these tools evolve and develop beyond the many failures that have occurred in the past. I'll likely spend most of my time in the Kitchen here while letting everyone else express their opinions, make suggestions, and submit bugs.
I'm a 24 year old from the Northeastern US, currently DMing for a small group that consists of my brother and roommate. I started about 6 or 7 years ago with a short-lived Pathfinder campaign, but since then have played almost exclusively D&D. Most of my experience has been with 3.5, which holds a special place in my heart, but recently I've started dipping my toes into 5E. My current campaign is a Frankenstien's Monster of 3.5, 5E, and some homebrewed things, which when coupled with my relative inexperience has led to a fairly overpowered party, even at only 4th level. But I'm working on that and am hoping that Beyond is a big success so that the time I spend thumbing through the core books is cut down a bit!
I've been playing D&D and other RPG's for over two decades and i'm really hoping D&D Beyond has a positive impact on the hobby, mainly because i love seeing new blood get into the game. My biggest curiosity is seeing how D&D Beyond can lend itself to online gaming.
I'm a 20 year old biology student from Norway, and I got into roleplaying games around five years ago. Started with Fabula and then quickly moved onto Pathfinder and Dungeons and Dragons. My two great loves are science and games, and if I'm not gaming I try to go for walks but gets waylaid each time I see an interesting insect or plant.
Currently not in any campaign cause my current groups scheduling and mine crashed, but I'm hoping I'll find a new group soon or that the scheduling issue will resolve itself once the semester is over. I've got a weakness for playing rogues and sorcerers, and I had an amazing rogue Theron who unfortunately died recently due to some drunken shenanigans. He will be missed.
I'm a 19 year old trans woman from North Carolina, I'm currently between high school and college but I haven't been accepted to any. I've always been interested in roleplaying games, but only just recently was I able to play one - as the DM. I'm interested in writing and online journalism, I'm currently trying to get some pieces published as a freelancer but it is slow going.
I'm currently looking for groups to join as a player (DMing was nice but i don't know if I cut out for it), but because I don't know what my situation will be in a few months I'm looking for online groups :) If anyone knows any that I could join that'd be really rad.
I am an 18 year old college student studding art/3D animation in California! I have been DMing for around 4 years and I love long walks through the D&D Wiki. I got into Roll-Playing to help me get through some tough times and never really stopped! I am currently running a home-brewed version of the Hoard of the Dragon Queen, and I am playing a wicard in one of my friend's Curse of Strahd game. I always tend to favor the spellcasting classes in most games, and D&D in no exception. I mostly play the wizard or sorcerer. But I do love the Barbarian because of it's simplicity.
I have read over 25 books from The Legend of Driz'zt series and know a lot of random bits of lore about the land of Faerun from my many delves into the D&D wiki.

Hell yeah I am going to Polymorph the boss into a Rabbit. I have always wanted a being a pure evil stuffed into a ball of fluff.
I am a college student in California who fell in love with D&D thanks to her dad! After I moved across the country for college, my dad and I were always searching for ways to stay connected. We currently are both running separate campaigns, and we often collaborate on homebrew, encounter, and story ideas. Rarely does a day go by that we don't talk about something to do with Dungeons and Dragons.
My first character was Il'aria, a half-elven rogue folk hero from Luskan. Now though, I'm rolling dice behind a screen as a group of first-timers' Dungeon Master.
When I'm not slaying dragons, I'm studying for my next biology exam, marching with my college's band, or relaxing.
Hey y'all I am a Californian teen who is a loud and proud nerd. Got into this game a year ago with some friends and, although that group fell apart, I now currently am DMing two seperate campaigns, one of which is an original. My first character was a tiefling monk (which in hind sight wasn't a great choice, but the back story was nice) and soon I will do a DM swap with a friend to play a wargon paladin. Along with being the leader of the dork side in my town, You can often find me camping and camping in the woods, cooking a meal for family and/or friends, or in the theater (be it on stage, behind stage, or just in the audience).

Do not expect people to be smart, but do not allow them to be stupid. If there is one thing I have learned it is this.
Yet another Californian here. Been playing DnD for probably 15 years. The first few years I was mess not knowing how the rules worked, and having DMs that didn't follow them. (Not in a the DM is always right, but in a sure run behind all the skeletons and sneak attack them as your run down the line.) Later I found the OotS forums, play by post and character optimizations. I was blown away by the depth of 3.0 and then 3.5 to be able to stack all of the pieces together and create monsterous characters. (But most of the time I don't bring those to the table, unless requested). More recently my group was playing Pathfinder when we got the itch to try 5e. To be honest at first I really didn't like it. I like the crunch of 3.5/Pathfinder, and there is a lot less of it in 5e. But then I began to watch how everyone else was dealing with 5e, how it was better for the group, it was quicker to get through combat. The system flows like water down hill. So I have been digger deeper in 5e, and learning the ins and outs, and what you can actually do once you get under the hood.
Things I am interested in outside of DnD: Wrestling, Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book (I am always reading something), and working on designing my own homebrew world. Not sure what I will do with this world yet, but it's fun to start lining up pieces again.

Hello, all! I'm a 28-year-old massage therapist that daydreams about character backstories when I should probably be focusing on my client's muscles. I've been a fan of D&D since 3.5, but I didn't get a chance to play until 4e was on its last legs and 5e was looming over the horizon. I love all things tiefling and creating a tiefling of every class is on my bucket list. I'm currently a player in two campaigns (Lost Mines of Phandelver and Out of the Abyss), and I'm very slowly working on building my own urban fantasy world. I collect dice, pens, and notebooks, and that was even before I started playing D&D!
My first character was a half-elf ranger that probably should've taken a level in Barbarian with her anger issues and love of beating things bloody with her swords.
When I'm not playing D&D or working I read, hula hoop for fun and fitness, spend way too much time building things in Minecraft, and sleep. So much sleep.

Sup, I'm a 16 y/o from New Zealand started plsying four years ago and recently took on the mantle of DM. My interest started when my Dad began a game to show us and I've snowballed from there. I run a few games but play too, with characters such as Oswald the monk and Ivellios the elven wizard. I'm a huge video gamer, enjoying games such as The Witcher and Shadow of Mordor. I love reading, especially Terry Pratchett's Discworld and, recently, James Islington's books. Star Wars and Samurai Jack take the top spots for favorite films and television series.
My first character was a Dwarven Fighter, whose name is lost to the annals of history, who loved ale and killing things with his axe, and died to an unforseen bodak and a natural 1.
Hello everyone! It's so nice to see a lot of friendly people :D
I'm a 19 year old college student in Scotland studying architecture. I'm a recent D&D player, having only really gotten into it around late August, early September after a friend recommended High Rollers and Critical Role to me! I've only played one full game of the Lost Mines of Phandelver campaign where I played a Tiefling Warlock, and DMed a one-shot where I played a Halfling Rogue and a Half-Orc Cleric. Loved both experiences immensely, and will be hoping to find more games once I have graduated this year, and also to branch out into other RPGs like Numenera and the Dragon Age RPG.
I love reading books and comics, even if I don't have time to recently. Slowly but surely making my way through the comics Saga, Rat Queens, and the Walking Dead. I'm also quite the TV show fan, with my list consisting of Arrow, The Flash, Supernatural, Game of Thrones, Marvel shows, and Grimm to name a few.
I also sleep far too much, and then complain about being tired.
About a year ago I played my very first game of D&D. Since I'm in my thirties, feel free to consider me a late bloomer. Recently, I found some people to DM for, a friend invited me to a second game and the original group is still going strong, so I can get my fix in a few different ways. This new DMing thing is quite awesome. I hope to do lots more of it in the future. So far I've spent inordinate amounts of time handwriting notes with weird implements and experimenting with map making techniques (also by hand, of course :P). It is such a wonderful time sink.
I'm European in origin, but have spent the last few years hopping across the US like a demented flea. I foresee going back 'home' in the comings months though, which means leaving all my fine dice-chopping friends behind and eventually starting from scratch with a new group. I hope it'll be fun, and it'll be good to go back to family and friends of old but I'll miss my people here.
Professionally, I wrangle words in a wide variety of ways. When at leisure, I do a lot of the same (session recaps, yo), but I also spend time reading, drawing, serving my cat and yelling at Netflix shows with my Beloved. Appearances notwithstanding, I do sometimes go outside, and actually really enjoy putting in a few miles on a trail here and there.
Looking forward to interesting dialogue with you fine folks.
Hello! I am a DM of a 3.5 campaign that is currently entering it's second half of a year, and a Player in a 5e campaign that has been going on for about 4 months. I am immensely enjoying being on both sides of the screen.
The reason I decided to run a 3.5 campaign was because of the plethora of the physical books that I own for that setting. I am missing very few of the regular books, but most of the forgotten realms and faerun settings. I decided that I was going to make a story for the sole purpose of exploring the depths of resources I had available to me and invited a few friends to join in on the adventure.
Beyond that, I am constantly playing some video game or another and am currently enjoying Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Hiya everyone! I got started with D&D in the summer of 1983 and never really looked back. I've run a campaign in every rules system from that point onward and continue to find fun and friends through the game. That's what makes it special for me. It's also what lead me to a career in gaming and fun!
I am running three different campaigns in the Metro Detroit area: Horde of the Dragon Queen, Lost Mines of Phandelver (in Birthright setting), and a homebrew game - all 5e. My name really is Aaron, so please feel free to refer to me simply as such.
I'm in my 30s, and have been playing D&D and other RPGs since around 1995. I live in Idaho now, but have previously lived in a half-dozen or so other states around the nation.
I've been a DM since day one of this whole RPGing thing, and I must be decent at it because every group I've ever formed ended up voting me their constant DM, which is great because I love DMing so much that all the rest of my hobbies have ended up feeding into my DMing instead of being separate pursuits (Art? Music? Modeling? Carpentry? Do them all for gaming!). The only thing which is a downside, and I consider it a minor one, is that for all my years with RPGs I think I've probably played in less than 20 campaigns across all of the dozen plus gaming systems I've played.
And last, but not least, I think this place is going to rock.
