Hello everyone! I'm Anne (or Zev, not sure how my main character's name also became an online handle, but whatever. Either one works fine for me.) and I'm not new to D&D, or even D&D Beyond, but I've just decided that I want to be active in the forums. So here I am!
Anyway, I'm 32 and I've been playing off and on for several years now. Back in the 2000s I tried to start with a Scion game but the DM was horrible so I had to bow out of it pretty quick. I got invited into a Pathfinder game back before 5e came out and quickly fell in love with it. Sadly, that one fell apart after about a year and it took a while for me to find any other kind of game to play in in my area. Now I'm on 5e and my main character is a wonderfully snarky female Moon Elf/Arcane Trickster/L4 (almost L5). Honestly, it was only because of Critical Role that I was able to get into a new game. I introduced a few of my friends to it and next thing you know, bam! They're wanting to play.
As for non-RP stuff, my job is meh. I just sell lawn equipment (Stihl handheld stuff like chainsaws and trimmers, then mowers, stuff like that) and every once in a while I watch my good friend's comic shop for him. I play a ton of board games and live happily alone with my cat - so it's nice and quiet. And I read. A lot. Too much, according to some.
Sooooo that's me! Nothing all that interesting from this corner, but I wanted to introduce myself anyway.
I'm a teenager in New England who runs the D&D club at my school. I play d&d and own Starfinder and Shadowrun (I can't find a group) and are actually writing an RPG. It's a sort of Hardboiled Detective genre. I'm interested in history and are planning to join a local Civil War Reenactment group as a bugle boy. I also like Prog Metal music and watch way too many episodes of "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" on Netflix.

For god's sake. Find a hobby or something. Sheesh. Please stop using this font.
Hello, i am a 13 year old (im a pretty young one) dnd player, i have been playing for a little over a year and i live in Orem, Utah. i have only played 5e so far and like to delve into the roleplay. I mostly play Damage takers/dealers like a human fighter or dragonborn barbarian. I have only dmed a one shot but im planning to DM a campaign.
I got into DnD as a result of a mish mash of events. Stranger things peaked my interest. Then I saw the DnDiesel video which got me hooked on both DnD and Critical Role. I spoke to my friends and they all wanted to play. They all suggested that I DM because of my creative writing background.
From there a spiral of madness took hold and I have now created a large scale campaign in the world of Exandria (Critical Role). I have created maps, backgrounds, classes, and races. I actually added a whole continent into Exandria. We have gotten to the point where we fully plan to stream our games as a show just like Critical Role, finances are the only real reason we haven’t moved to a show format.
I record every game we play on audio and compile it in podcast format for my players. As of last week we just reached episode 25 and are sitting at about 104 hours of audio. I can’t wait to share our adventures with the world, but for now we wait.
As for me personally, my name is Christian Stauffer. I am 21 and I hail from the kingdom of Oregon. I love to play video games on both my PC and Xbox. (Add me on any platform, gamertag: AgtAmbush) I ride quads at the coast Florence, Reedsport, and Coos Bay. Obviously from the above information I am a big creative nut and have an idea for a book series but can’t get my lazy but to sit down and write it out.
I am currently working in healthcare. I love to help people so it is a pretty good outlet. I am an open book and a loyal friend to those around me. I’m not really the type of person to get offended by anything so I consider myself to be pretty easy to talk to.
To those of you on this site, if you ever need anything or just want to pick my brain just PM me. I usually answer pretty quickly.
30 y/o over in the north of England who only recently got into DnD but has been into RPGs for about 12 years now (my first was a homebrew Transformers one whilst at uni).
Anyway, I work in the Healthcare industry and been partnered up for 8 years now.
Apart from that I love music, games, baking and books.
28 year old Bio student here. Working my way into the genetics scene 8]
I've been playing [J]RPGs since I can remember and have played DnD since 3.5, and it's the only edition I've played. I'm hoping that between joining this site and meeting people at school I will find a good group to run a campaign with. As for the other generalities, no kids, no wife, and no DnD group TT_TT.
I'm a teen whose been trying to get into DnD for quite a while and have finally found a group! I'm a fan of multiple DnD podcasts and love to make props and worldbuild. While I have been interested in DnD for quite some time, I've only gotten to play fairly recently.
Aside from the DnD group at school, my friends have asked me to dm a group over the summer. I am elated for the opportunity (and I've already started making props and fun things for gameplay :D) but all the players are my friends! I can't talk to them about all the fun plot twists and npcs I've made because I'd spoil it for them haha!
Regarding my non-ttrpg interests, I enjoy reading, drawing, tinkering with stuff, building cosplays, and very very slowly getting through videogames
Anyway, I'm excited to be here and would love to talk more about my campaign or pretty much anything else dnd!
dont worry i ran into the exact same thing when i started DMing for my family (regarding the fact that you cant talk about all the fun plot twists) and accidentaly exposed them to my older brother who joined unexpectadly. and also i would love to hear you delicious plot twists.
Hi I'm Blindman I'm a 26 year old dude who plays D&D, I got into it through curiousness 5 years ago and played on roll20.
i like video games, anime, writing and wrestling. I played Bulder's Gate on the PS2/PS3 and I couldn't wrap my head around it. After that came Elder Scrolls and Dragon Age where loved creating characters, but didn't get far in the stories. Recently I been looking to get back into D&D, I made a character and been asking anyone on Roll20 I could find.
I'm Stephen, a 28 year old dude who played DnD in middle school and recently got back into it because I wanted to start a comedy DnD real-play podcast (more on that later). I love DnD for ALL the reasons! The escapism, the fantasy, the imagination. It's all fun as hell. I love playing characters with voices and personalities different from meand thinking about those characters literally all the time. Right now I'm playing a 54 year old female human rogue who started adventuring again because her kids went off to college.
Outside of Dnd I really like improv comedy, movies, TV, pop music (carly rae jepsen!). I'm a comedian in new york so I perform shows and go to lots of live comedy. I don't play too many video games nowadays but i remember really digging Neverwinter Nights and especially Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura.
Regarding my podcast, it's called Second Best: a DnD Adventure but I figure I will write up something and post it to the General Discussion board. It seems like thats the place to post because it's a podcast and doesn't have a video element. Let me know if there's a better place to post.
Happy gaming everyone!
p.s. Forgot to mention, my handle is Totes_Man because of a halloween costume/character I created. The character is a stoner who loves tote bags. It's not well received by other people, but I still love it!
Hello ! my name is Griffin and I'm a 16 year old photographer, I got into D&D because my father and a close family friend played, for D&D I've only played 2E so far but other table top RPGs I've played include Pathfinder, Alternity and GURPS
I'm Al, I'm from Washington State. I've played video games since I was a kid but I didn't get into Dungeons and Dragons until high school when I started gaming with coworkers with 3rd edition. I haven't really played in a long time, but I still follow the developments and news. I've also read a lot of Dragonlance and Forgotten Realms novels.
I love the idea of an adventure, especially when its a motley crew of friends. Playing Dungeons and Dragons has also helped me with my fiction writing in creating heroes, villains and adventures. I've had a lot of fun memories with gaming groups, as well as some sad deaths.
I've also played several Forgotten Realms inspired games, including Neverwinter which I currently play on the PS4.
I currently live in Eastern Washington and I've been itching to get back into DND, but I haven't really found any groups.

I loved Playing 2nd edition with my core friends during High school. then i got involved in Rifts for a number of years.
after my time on active duty i cam home and got into a new gaming group. then one day our regular DM wanted to change up the campaign and do curse of strad for halloween. I volunteered to DM and what started as a 4 session distraction turned into a 7month adventure across time as we started in 3.5 edition of the raven loft adventure and switched to 5th edition with the release of Curse of Strad.
Now I'm trying to find ways to better manage the groups. Im doing a shared universe between the two groups and the kids group was 8 players last session.
Ive go on to host a couple more games one with my sons friends and a new adult game with several new players.
Im 39 and love adventure movies and Critical Role

That moment when you jokingly say "Rocks fall; everyone dies" only to have the DM, mere seconds after saying that, drop rocks on the party and you're the only one who fails the Dex. Saving throw... Murphy's Law is in affect.
Just turned 27, been playing D&D actively for about two years. I was introduced to it by a friend in uni ages back, back when he was playing AD&D, but never got into it properly until well into 5e. I started as a player in another friend's campaign, took over the running of the campaign when he got tired of it and TPK'd us, and now have two active campaigns I DM for (both set in my own little world). I also play in other campaigns and one-shots when I get the chance.
My hobbies include: making homebrew items for my players, making characters I'll never play, and trying in vain to find times which suit every member of my parties.
Also, big fan of High Rollers, and - more recently - Critical Roll.
Heyo everyone! My name is Tyto (online anyways...), it comes from the scientific name for a family of owls like the barn owl (yes I like owls alot, blame Guardians of Ga'Hoole for that...). I'm a teen in high school who hasn't yet played a single game yet, but will very soon with a friend. Also from Ohio.
I got into gaming with Pokemon Blue and The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks. Pokemon fostered a love for RPGs and Zelda fostered a love for fantasy, puzzles, and adventure. I also do like card and board games also. The sad thing is that I'm really the only one in my family whole likes gaming as much as I do. When I do play I play Super Smash Bros., Zelda, Pokemon, and more. I only have a 3ds right now , but would get a switch if I could (I would get a Ps4 just for a few games, but an Xbox because there is very little that is interesting...).
I got into D&D by a YouTuber (ProJared if your wondering) doing some videos on D&D. I'll play a bard named Pico De Lolobardo who is an Aarakocra, and will be great! I would have probably gotten into it earlier, but I have lived in a mostly rural area, and no comic shops around. Plus most people like farming, hunting, and/or sports, so yeah not a very nerdy crowd.
Hello all! My name is Bob and I’m 46. I was first introduced into the world of D&D in the 7th grade when I went to a friend’s apartment and his dad told us to hang on, went to his room, returned 1/2 an hour later and threw us into a kobold’s layer. But living in a military family we soon moved and finding people who played wasn’t easy. Years later friends in college had a game going and I joined, but they graduated and moved. A few more years and I found new friends to play but sitting in a circle became too much of an issue for others who wandered around like kittens chasing shadows. I lost all of my gaming stuff and recently bought the 5th Edition starter set after my daughter (9 yrs old) asked how come she couldn’t play.
The differences between 2nd and 5th have been a little confusing, and with the neutered rules for the starter set leave a lot of questions. But I’ve been helped by several people here (thanks again!). So I’ll be going back over the rule book and getting started soon.
As for hobbies my family does a lot of backpacking. We kayak a little bit. I need to take my daughter fishing again so as to have a steady fishing partner before she gets too old to hang out with dad. I’ve been brewing beer for about 10 years, and I’ve been enjoying black powder shooting.
I’m not a big reader but love a good series. I just finished the Sell Swords series and reread for the 3rd time the War of the Spider Queen (both great series!), and just got Homeland to begin again the old Drizzt tale (I ended at Sea of Swords). Another great series (non D&D) is The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. Elric of Melnabone (Spl?) wasn’t all that well written as I recall but the storyline was excellent. I’m certainly open to suggestions, especially where Drow are involved!

By being a bard you are the best support to your team.
But srsly I have to say that is one of the most interesting characters for a new player I have seen!
Best the loot and luck to you! ^^
