Hello everyone! Still new to Beyond and getting used to using a laptop and not 50 sheets of paper, but nice to see so many other people out there. 28 year old lass from the West country (South west UK) though started role playing in Wales around a decade ago. Played a variety of systems including; a GRUPS homebrew, Strontium dogs, Dredd, Pathfinder, Starfinder, Psi Run (a weird one but somewhat fun for really out there one shots) and of course DnD.
Have always played face to face, though would like to get into online if I can get a stable enough internet ....
Hello! My name is Aurelia, but Aurrie is okay too! I am 24 years old, and I was finally introduced to my first campaign about 5 months ago. Its been about 2 months since our last game, so I will assume that the campaign is pretty much dead, which is a shame since I was having such a good time playing. I looked around in my area to see if there was any groups, or if I had some friends in the area that would play, but unfortunately due to scheduling nothing doesn't seem to line up.
I am not the best when it comes to online, I will admit. Only because I am more of a face-to-face person, but for the sake of wanting to continue a passion, and meet other people who are familiar with the series, this is why I am here. I never played DnD online before, but I am willing to learn.
Greetings, my name is Robert. I started playing D&D in 1984 and played and ran many hundreds of hours. I got out of playing about 24 years ago. But last summer with my kids having drivers license I wanted to get back into it. So I went to my local game store (owned and ran by one of the people who taught me how to play)slapped down my 2nd Edition Players Handbook, Fiend Folio, Dieties and Demigods (Melnibonian Version) and said lets kill some sh*t.
That night I purchased a 5e PHB. Two weeks later a Monster manual and decided to run again.
I now run a campaign with a party of 8 to 10 (gets cumbersome). I have built an epic where the first encounter was cats. My intent is to work my way through the entire Monster Manual. I have 186 monsters left and finish it by taking on the Tarrasque.
I’m Ori, coming pretty late to the game, literally and figuratively. I grew up never being allowed to play video or tabletop games so im playing more than a bit of catch up. With my kind and merciful DM holding my soft little hand, I’ve had a ton of fun playing D&D with my friends, as well as making art inspired by the game as well. I’ll likely be lurking and trying to get a better handle on the technicals of the game, but I hope to get to know some folks too. :)
I am Levi! I am new-ish to D&D. I have been playing and DMing for just over 2 years. I only played for 2-4 sessions before becoming the DM. My cousin is the one that introduced me to D&D 5e, and I am grateful for that, but he was a terrible DM, so I took over almost immediately. As all DMs, I started out terrible, and made rookie mistakes, but I have become better, as I am basically obsessed with D&D. I have learned all the rules necessary to running D&D, and a lot not needed, and can say that I am pretty good at DMing. I am currently running many campaigns (I have an issue with ending campaigns, I'm better at starting them) and these are a few of the current ones:
Spelljammer
Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus
Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage
Eberron homebrew campaign, named "Born of Prophecy"
Though I am relatively new to D&D, I am very good at memorization, which I've found useful to DMing, and all my players seem to like the games I run.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:

I am a 13-year-old fan of Dungeons & Dragons. I have loved D&D ever since I was 11, I got into it by not just my Dad's background knowledge but also Stranger Things. I play with my family and love it. I play with my 11,15 and 23-year-old brothers and finally my 9-year-old sister, we have our arguments from time to time (obviously because a child is playing) but it is really fun. Dad is the DM and I later found all his old modules (Isle Of Dread) and they are really interesting to play. I live on the South Coast (NSW) Australia and we started to play D&D 2 weeks after the bushfires. I don't mind being DM from time to time but especially love Role-Playing as a character.
I am a younger than 13 yr old (as to not disclose my actual age) kid from southern USA, and I've been playing D&D for 3 years now (i think) and have ABSOLUTELY loved it! All I can really think about now is D&D. I am having my birthday soon (in about 1 1/2 weeks) and am currently playing Curse Of Strahd at my local gamestore. My brother is EEDNB who started a few months ago and loved it (btw hes older than me). I am planning to DM when we finish CoS.
I have been playing computer role-playing games since the early 1980s, and D&D games have been included over the years. Recently, I decided to replay Baldur's Gate, and that rekindled my interest in D&D and has eaten up much of my spare time. It's a classic, and even though it has gotten old and shows its age in some ways, it is still quite enjoyable to play. On the other hand, I recently loaded up Pool of Radiance and created a quick character just to remind myself of how things were in the 1980s. I suppose that I've become too accustomed to modern games, and it now feels overly primitive and clunky.
I've never played the tabletop game, but I am interested in the lore and the stories behind the video games. The computer is a rigid and limited DM, so I can see how the tabletop game might have its advantages, but it is challenging to get a group together, and even then, if the group members are not compatible with each other, it won't work. A local meadery has been trying to set up some D&D events, but so far, hardly anyone has shown up, so nothing has happened yet. If something gets going there, I might give it a try, and I might even stick with it if the group's play style is compatible with mine.
I'm in my early 30s, been playing 5e for about 3 years now, semi-regularly. I've lived in or around London (UK) my whole life, but I'm just about to move to South Wales, and I'm looking for a group to jump into, or even to start a new group! I'm currently part of the London RPG Community, which is huge, but I'm looking forward to getting to know a smaller group of people.
I'm always coming up with new character, story and world ideas, and would love to DM a whole homebrew campaign one day, but I don't think I'm there yet.
I've also played a few games of Dark Heresy, and one of Alien RPG, but 5e is my main game.
I'm probably a little late to the party, but here goes.
Greetings, fellow adventurers! I am James, 16 of age, and an avid D&D fan. I have developed nearly 20 characters, all of which I have yet to play. I got my dad and brother into D&D but considering none of them have a good idea of how to DM, I am stuck as the Game Master for the foreseeable future. I love all things fantasy and sci-fi, especially Tolkien and Star Wars. I spend an unhealthy amount of time on World Anvil, where I continue to work and develop my world of Auphora. I also am quite the dice goblin, prone to buying whatever pretty set catches my eye.

I'm a (not actually, just an expression) crackhead <13 y/o who's been playing dnd for about 9 months now, and i like it a ton. My brother and some friends play in our group, and we are running a Curse of Strahd campaign (on hold because of coronavirus). My brother is homebrewing a campaign for us too.
Greetings all. I am a 63 year old divorced nerd who has been playing D&D off and on since I was in high school. Starting with Chainmail and Basic and Advanced D&D. And have played every edition and have most of the books.
I currently am DM'ing (Spelling) for my son and his friends using the 5e starter pack and essential kit. To get them into D&D I started them off playing the Dungeons and Dragons fantasy adventure board game and its expansions. They loved it so we started running The Lost Mines of Phandelver and are having a blast.
I love collecting the D&D miniatures and have over a thousand of them.
My favorite movies are Star Wars, the Fifth Element and Bladerunner. And of course Star Trek in all of its various iteration's.
I love taking my son and daughter-in-law and 5 grandbabies to the local conventions, GalaxyCon/SuperCon and Conglomeration, so sad they where cancelled this year :-(
I love to read sci-fi, adventure and fantasy (both urban and regular) and play RPG's on the PC. Currently playing Pathfinder: Kingmaker and loving it. Played Pillars of Eternity and its expansion's and hope they come out with more.
Welcome Lord_Blaine! Glad to hear you're passing on your love for D&D! I've been DM'ing for my son and his friends also. Bringing up a new generation of D&D lovers! I hope you find DNDBeyond to be a helpful set of tools. There is a lot you can do with the tools here and more tools are being added all the time. If you have any questions the forums here are a great resource. You can usually get answers to pretty much any question within an hour less.
On the discord I'm the moderator YourDMJay. I don't really hang around forums much, but i like this community and I wanted to introduce myself. I hope I will be around the discord more often! I love DND and am a perpetual DM. I play 3 times a week and have played at least twice a week for 5 years. I have been a player since the third edition! Love rping, dming, and tactical combat!
Hey everyone! Finally taking the plunge and going to try and get into this rabbit hole. I'm a 32 yr old dad of 2 living in Fort Worth. Don't really know where to start, but do have a couple people I know that are interested in taking the plunge as well. Is it too much to try jump into DM'ing for a group right off the bat? It all looks so overwhelming, but a lot of fun at the same time!
Somehow managed to forget to do this.
Been playing D&D in various forms since '84 with lots of other RPGs alongside it. Took a break from RPGs for several years but 5e brought me back.
Currently running a face-to-face 5e group in Fife, Scotland and I'm also one of the organisers of the board game & rpg convention Tabletop Scotland.
If you're in Scotland and looking for a group let me know as I might know someone who can help!
