Strength: 8. I'm not strong at ALL !!!
Intelegence: 11 maybe? I'm decently smart, but my attention span knocks me down a couple pegs
Dexterity:  13 I'm fairly fast,  and I'm REALLY good at sneaking/a little sleight of hand. Can't do any acrobatics stuff bc I'm literally legally blind tho
Wisdom: 6. I'm like ACTUALLY blind, and I just make bad decisions in general. I am good with nature tho
Constitution: 9. I have a high pain tolerance, and I haven't gotten sick since I was like NINE, But also I have the stamina of a coughing baby
Charisma: 10 on one hand I'm really extroverted and polite, and a pretty good liar when it comes down to it, but I also have social anxiety, and a just pretty awkward in general. Can sing decently, but have been told I sound like Freaky Goblin Elvis when I sing sooooo

Race: Probably a Hexblood, because I'm hagmaxxing

STR: 9 (Look, we're all nerds here, don't judge)

DEX: 18 (No joke -- who wants to race me? Also pretty agile - I'm not glazing I promise...)

CON: 10 (:/ -- I get sick when everyone else does so pretty average I suppose)

INT: 16 (I'd love to say 30 but I'm not in Mensa yet...)

WIS: 8 (I am self-diagnosed with Male-Pattern Fridge Blindness (MFB))

CHA: ooh this is difficult but I'll have to say a 10. (Look, half the time I'm so extroverted I'll chat with my worst enemies and the other half so introverted I spend most of it crying in my room)

And edited to fit my class! I'm gonna go with a Bard...subclass that of the College of Lore. History dork who loves to sing? Who doesn't love that?

DEX: 16 (I do fencing and I'm consistently top 1/3rd in my region... even though realistically I should be able to make it to table of 16)

CON: 15 (I'm a runner and I can hit 7:00 for pretty much any run under 10 miles)

INT: 15 (Lazy but I can apply pretty much any learned concept extremely well to any scenario it's  applicable)

WIS: 9 (I'm not wise. When it comes to wisdom I'm pretty much the braindead ork of the party that does the stupidest things and then gets in one good quote of wisdom before returning to stupidity.)

CHA: 16 (I am honestly, unapologetically, really good at manipulating truth in tight scenarios and also making friends and making friends do stuff for me and slowly convincing them of things. I might actually not be the best of persons, but at least it's mostly convincing my friends to do running or to join me for an activity rather than harmful manipulative stuff.) 

Class: College of the sword bard (pretty self explanatory) and rogue (I'm sneaky and I was told that when I don't try I can walk next to my friends for 5 minutes before they notice.)

Race: Human

Strength is definitely an 8 or lower. No way I don't have a penalty.

Dexterity is probably 12, based solely on the fact that I fit into seemingly too small spaces. Like a bugbear, but... maybe not as ugly? I dunno.

Constitution is 12 or higher. I never get tired when hiking, just... hot. (Please, no jokes about that word)

Intelligence is likely 14 or so. I CAN do all the smart things, I'm just lazy and don't apply myself. (At least, everyone says that...)

Wisdom is 8 or so, but I have Expertise in Insight. I wouldn't notice the charging orc, but I'd realize he has mommy issues.

Charisma is, unfortunately, 12 or higher. Too many people want to be friends. WAAAY too hard to please all of them.

Class? Errmm... not bard (I like singing, sure, but it's ANYTHING besides inspiring). Maybe rogue (probably a thief, too, but don't read into it too much).

Some people are doing race, so... Tabaxi! I definitely get claws (although my Mom gets angry when I don't clip them), I can outrun lit. anyone I know, and I beat everyone at rope climbing at the last gym I went to. And climb trees. And run up and jump off of them. And my darkvision is decent.

Dexterity: 12 (Terrible flexibility and asthmatic but I CAN go pretty fast if I want to)
Constitution: 11 (Asthmatic as previously said and also pretty skinny, but I do have a better resistance to illness than the rest of my family do)
Intelligence: 14 (I'd say I'm pretty smart with certain things. Decent at maths, ADHD so I hyperfocus on certain stuff, and when it comes down to it I have a pretty good memory)
Wisdom: 8 (Not very wise. I'm also quite impulsive)
Charisma: 10 (I'm certainly not charming. I have, like, 3 friends, all of which are slightly insane, and I'm terrible at making new ones)

Class: I cannot think of a single class that fits me. I mean... like, I have no artistic talent, so not bard, and not sneaky, so not rogue. I guess wizard?

Just used an online quiz, which suggested:

Strength: 12 [10]

Dexterity: 15 [13]

Constitution: 14 [12]

Intelligence: 15 [13]

Wisdom: 16 [14]

Charisma: 14 [12]

I'd assume all of these to be about two points lower (Shown in brackets). The Wisdom I'm not sure about; I'm EXCELLENT at reading people, but completely oblivious to my surroundings half the time. If it is above average, I doubt it's by this much.

Oh, and it said I was either a Bard or a Rogue. I'd go with Rogue, since I lack any ability with instruments.

Some thoughts from the peanut gallery.  The typical D&Der is a middle class American that has lived with the modern health and education systems and diet. When compared to the “typical” person from the times D&D focuses on there are probably a number of stat differences that develop because of those differences so here goes.
A) Strength: thanks to modern diet we are typical larger than midieval folk but we are also much more sedentary and don’t do the sort of constant hard physical labor they did back then. So unless your a gym rat or military our base strength is probably an 8/9 not the midieval 10. However, that larger size and better diet pushes the effective human max from 20  to 21/22 (worlds strongest man/SEALs/pro sports). Back in 1e the rule was 1/10th what you could lift over your head. That may still be a decent guideline for all but the strongest of us.
B) Dexterity: because this really represents 2 different things - manual dexterity and over all physical dexterity it could be hard. Modern life calls for a lot more manual dexterity than midieval life did (writing, card playing, electronics work, etc.) and roughly the same amount of physical dexterity (general movement, dodging, throwing). So modern folk might be able to push dexterity a point or so higher on average - 11 not 10 but the max stays the same as the sort of manual dexterity needed for skills like goldsmithing and painting has not changed.
C) Constitution: This is the biggest place of difference, with the modern vaccines, greatly improved diet and generally improved diet  our modern immune systems are simply stronger than most in earlier times so our average is probably a 12. In midieval times the average life expectancy was 35 now it’s about 70+. Now that is a stat you have to be careful of as what it really represents is that half the folks born died by age 35 and half lived past 35. But with the high infant/child mortality rates and weakening immune systems with age it was almost a triple peak curve not a bell curve.  If you made it to 15 you would probably make it past 35 and die somewhere past 60. Improved medical care (vaccines) and diet (stronger immune systems) means we are simply more resistant to diseases and are more capable of extended exertion ( if we are in reasonably decent shape) as well as being able to the same exertion with a smaller percentage of our max capacity. So, based on line for us 12 not 10 but the max probably stays the same.
D) intelligence: while the max probably doesn’t change the fact that the vast majority of us have ( or are getting) at least a high school education pushes us up by several points. What that schooling does (hopefully) is to teach you a number of different ways of problem solving (algebraic logic, scientific method, historical analysis, grammar as lo language logic, etc) as well as giving you access to a much large baseline of information to work with and from. Because we have those skills (or at least were exposed to them) and the vast majority of of mideveal folk did not even get the exposure that pushes our effective baseline intelligence up significantly (12/13). 
E) wisdom: that education as well as our access to fiction literature and travel provides a somewhat greater access to experiences that generate wisdom so while the max doesn’t change  the average goes up slightly - 11. 
F) Charisma: the one stat that stays basically unchanged.

So the modern world’s baseline stats are probably actually: S) 8/9 max 21/22, D) 11 max 20, C) 12 max 21, I) 12 max 20, W) 11 max 20, Ch) 10 max 20

 I agree with all except this, honestly. An education doesn't increase your intelligence (ability to learn, mental reaction time, etc.) but simply your knowledge base.

However, most people posting here are heavy RPGers, which tend to be called 'nerds' for a reason: It's often true! So people posting on here would likely have higher INT than average, but not due to education.
