Sorry, whilst I was being purposely provocative, I did not wish to offend, rather I was interested in entering a discourse on theology... but I seem to be in the minority hahaha.

D&D, Youth Work and the Priesthood sadly do not typically interact... I do what I can!
Cool, I'm working on an essay at the moment, but in a few days, I'd be happy to have a private conversation about theology. Ignore the banter through gifs, hahaha, just having a bit of fun whilst I procrastinate.
I made a campaign for Christians, where instead of deity's, they worship god and have a patron saint. The group's paladin has Joan of Arc as the saint.
Yeah buddy! I play in 1 campaign and DM in 3 others and the majority of us are believers in Jesus Christ!
That's a great idea. I'm working on a world inspired by the world of the Bible, but taking everything allegorically and turning it up to 10. I'm discovering it's a bit of a long term project though!
i was not expecting to find this here. how are races other then humans, monsters and magic treated in a christian d&d game?
I don't think there's one size fits all. I'm designing a world that's highly allegorical where the monsters are tolkienesque in their origin and basically a metaphor for sin, temptation, oppression, etc., and the races were all created by the same God, but variations in the creation process gave rise to their racial distinctives (I'll probably be calling them cultures rather than races).
I am also a Christian...and to top it off, I am a pastor, too. Granted, I enjoy playing the cleric the most (because it is the closest I can be to being a pastor in-game...so easy to relate with!). My parents (more so my mom than dad–who is also a pastor) have problems with me playing. However, I find that the game allows me to exercise my creativity, get in some social time, and the allowance to step away from being "the pastor." This is a great tool for exercising empathy while learning to problem solve, team building, and collaborative efforts. If you struggle to differentiate reality from fiction, this isn't the game for you. If you can, I more than encourage jumping into this game! Sure, it can be time consuming, but I would rather see teenagers getting involved with D&D than drugs.

Great to see another pastor here! I start at a new church tomorrow (Perth WA time) and one of the questions I asked during the interview process was if they were okay with me playing D&D. One of the people on the selection committee said his daughter would be happy to meet another D&D player.
Fellas, I just want to take a moment and congratulate y'all on the single most respectful discussion of religion I've ever seen on the Internet. Well done and God Bless!

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (you likely know us as Mormons).
Me too and I live in Washington I bet there is a decent chance we've met.
Hey! I am too! Cool to see this kinda stuff- You know my favorite part about religion? It gives you a sense of hope and peace and they all mostly go along the lines of trying to be at your best. I converted because I was taught that it's alright that I'm not perfect- as long as I'm working on the things that need to be worked on, I should be fine.

The Tavern Mother (Trust me, it's not as weird as it sounds!)
I am the God-Queen of Trickery, Cunning, Lies, and Gaslighting- but you already knew that... "Moon's Haunted." *Cocks shotgun with malicious intent* "Eliksni must rise...yes?" _________ When it comes to pronouns I preferVariks-Senpai(But I'm a dude. Pronouns are weird.)

That's an intersting concept. (I'm also a very vocal christian)

I would love to talk about that, but I don't think this is the right place to do so.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:

My home game started because my Bible study group wanted to hang out more, lol.
I'm actually wondering if there are any Muslims willing to hang out.
Reading the Qur'an right now.

Maybe try starting a new thread? You're welcome here, but I don't know if too many Muslims will find you in a Christian thread!
Oh for sure!
