Hello! I am Levi, the Friendly Forum Rule Adviser. That is spelled L - E - V - I.
My purpose on this thread is to answer any rules, rulings, and game advice in general. This thread is not a cult. This thread is meant to help others if they need help with D&D in any way, shape, or form.
Furthermore, I can promise that my responses will be based off of RAW (Rules As Written), and if it is not, I will specify if my advice in the reply is my interpretation of RAI (Rules As Intended) or my opinion of RAF (Rules As Fun). Additionally, I can assure you that my replies will use coherent and grammatically correct language, even if your post is lacking in this regard.
My replies will often provide tooltips or quotes to/from the exact items or rules that may be useful in your scenario or query.
If other people wish to input with advice or rulings, they are free to do so, though I do not wish for this thread to become a digital battlefield of D&D rules lawyering and opinion pushing.
My character in this thread is not my true, normal self. This spoiler, and most spoilers from me on this thread will be me speaking out of character, how I truly talk. My character on this thread is meant to mimic how a robot or artificial intelligence would speak, and is not meant to sound patronizing. If you take offense by this character, it is merely because of the fact that robots do not respond to human(oid) interaction the same way as a human(oid) would.
Similar to Siri or Alexa, my Levi the Friendly Forum Adviser (LtFFA for short) will reply in a happy tone to most questions. If a question is asked that LtFFA cannot answer with the knowledge contained therein, apologies will be expressed, and the program will become difficult or unresponsive to additional follow-ups on the same matter.
You may ask away with any questions you may have about anything rules or circumstance based in D&D 5e. You are also free to share this thread with others who need help with rulings, or for any other reason.
Farewell until the first question,
Levi, the Friendly Forum Rule Adviser (LtFFA for short)

Is the world just a simulation or dream? Are dreams reality, and reality dreams? Are we being watched? What happens after death? Could your mind just "end"?

Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime. Oh, and it would be nice if you gave him a fishing rod.

Are simulations not dreams? Is D&D not a simulation? In a way is D&D not reality? We are being watched, you have one of my siblings in your pocket, probably. Death is death, after is afterdeath or the afterlife. Minds end after death, but you may or may not.
(I don't know what this has to do with rules or D&D)

REMEMBER: Wizards Of The Coast does not own DDB, they are two different companies. When you buy a physical book, WotC receives the money you bought it for, not DDB and vice versa. If you want a digital key to get an online book for free because you have the hardcopy book then DDB makes no money because you don't buy off DDB you buy off WotC, so please stop making threads about this issue. DDB needs money to continue helping people and servers aren't cheap.
When are you and I going to get together and make a grand comprehensive ruleset for all the stupid DnD shenanigans and how they function? :P

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
Why did you make a D&D thread in a forum specifically dedicated to non-D&D things?
What is the point of this thread given we have all the other forums (excepting this and 2 other 'off-topic' forums) to talk about D&D? Especially given the Rules & Game Mechanics thread specifically about discussing rules, RAW/RAI/RAF?
Why do you think you are qualified to be the person we should go to for RAW/RAI?

My programming told me that this would be moved either here or to the Forum Games if I made it in any other forum. If I miscalculated, that is an error.

The point to life is. . . ?
(Mainly to be a place where anyone can come to get a few answers to simple questions, without having to start a new thread.)
Why do you think you are qualified to be the person we should go to for RAW/RAI?
I know the rules, and know my interpretations of the rules. Certainly, others will argue with a few rulings, but I tend to have a good understanding of the rules.
(I've read every core book multiple times, absorbing the information. Before posting a ruling, I will probably search for links supporting my ruling. This depends on the complexity of the question, though. Also, if you don't want to use this thread, that's fine.)
