(It’s corned beef, sauerkraut, thousand island dressing on rye)
Thanks for clarifying that, but I’m certain there wasn’t a thousand island dressing back then, or corned beef. 😕 Sorry. You can make an order for food that sounds like it’s from back then by using ingredients that were used back then or in D&D (you may as well used medieval-sounding ingredients because D&D is based on medieval times), but made as close as possible to the original.
example: a Ruben would be...beef, salted shredded cabbage (basically homemade sauerkraut), (minus the dressing), on rye bread and it wouldn’t be called a Ruben, just a custom sandwich that you can ask Malwyn to make for you.

* Whenever it’s my turn to cook and I’m making cabbage rolls, instead of making them in rolls, I make them in big “meatballs” then wrap them in cabbage, but I don’t like boiling them in tomato sauce...not a fan of it...I put them in an oven-safe dish and securely cover the dish with aluminum foil (otherwise all the moisture evaporates and I get dry meat instead of juicy meat). When they are done, we each use the sauce that we like on the rolls. Also, while I’m mixing the meat (I prefer beef, so I don’t know if the way I do it would work on a different type of meat) I add a few other ingredients: some salt, pepper, and an egg maybe two, depending on how much I’m making (the egg helps prevent the meat from falling into pieces as I shape them into balls)
I love them, my family loves them...that’s all that matters when I cook.*
That sounds amazing...

Out of character: (I mean, they would've had all of the ingredients, but it would be sort of expensive for the cinnamon and sugar. I'm sure they would have other stuff for mashed potato flakes and dry milk, too.) recipe I use:https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/cinnamon-bread-recipe

No, dude, he isn’t joking. Just imagine starch. That’s what it is used for. The recipe is for cinnamon bread, you don’t add actual potatoes into it, the potato flakes is just an organic and fancier replacement for cooking starch. The dried milk is optional, I believe, you’d still get cinnamon bread in the end, but how close to the recipe it is depends on how closely you follow it.
Btw, Storm_Sorcerer, thanks for sharing the recipe, it looks amazing! I think I’ll try it this week. The kids are going to love it!
