If it works on D&Dbeyond, the devs are either trusting the players to follow the rules, or haven't gotten around to it yet because they're doing things of more importance. Now tell me, why should two identical items, copied letter for letter, affect you twice?

I'm putting up a question in Rules & Game Mechanics, and I am of the personal opinion that neither the GM nor player know what the rules for that were. Still, we'll see what the people on the forum have to say.

If you had 18's in three stats or more, or even just one 18, I'd complain, but that seems fairly balanced. Sure, I'll bring out my crit fisher because I enjoy causing suffering with good luck, or suffering with bad luck.

The effects do not have the same name, the items do. 2 boots of speed effect 2 times, 2 red dragon masks only have 1 draconic majesty

They don't have differently named effects, like how you can stack a Cloak of Protection and a Ring of Protection because they aren't named the same.

You can stack 2 rings of protection, its because their effects are part of the item, not in the description
