Yes, I think the sorcerer con saves and advantage from bladesong is helpful. I don't think I'll be playing this build anytime soon though.
Hey nice, I just figured out how to bypass elemental essence pushing my enemy out of my movement range: Storm Soul sorcerery. Fly speed of 60 feet without removing a shard for Wings of Flying, or a turn for Fly.
You what? I have used none in turn one, 2 in turn 2, 1 in turn 3, 1 in turn 4. I have one more ki point (I'm really reaching at this point).
