Yup. By the way, what are your thoughts on Transmuted Spell metamagic? As the thread's resident sorcerer expert (I do wizards and martial multiclasses).

That's my verdict, I mostly just play sorcerers here anyways, in the absence of any games to play in. I do have one game though, predictably being a sorcerer.

Also Lightning Bolt is now even more redundant, because you can get around the large amount of resistances and immunities fire has.

I like the idea of elemental adept in lightning (or something) and getting Vitrolic Sphere. Because with elemental adept it does outstrip fireballs in terms of damage (at 4th level anyways).

Also because elemental adept in acid is so squishy because nothing deals that damage type.

Vitriolic Sphere.

I've never tried that one out, but if I level to 7, I might.

Best against your slow enemies. It's essentially what Melf's acid arrow is to Scorching ray but instead for Fireball. Good fun, similar range - higher damage if saves fail but much more consequences if saves succeed.
