i read the hobbit, and just started The Fellowship of The Ring. my dad had the extended edition movies and the normal ones, i have watched them too many times to count, and i mean the extended edtion which is about 6 movies each two hours, same with THE HOBBIT.
I’ve read the Hobbit, LotR and the Silmarillion.
I really want to read the Silmarillion. Just never got my hands on the book.

How do you guys feel about nonfiction? I recently finished "The Song of the Cell" by Siddhartha Mukherjee. It was very good. Some times it got a little technical, but the author did a good job explaining things in a way that anyone could understand. He tells complicated cellular science like a story!
Nonfiction can be great, though I am a big fan of fiction too. The Rise of Wolf Eight and its sequel are great books about wolf behavior. I read a lot of Nonfiction about zoology, paleontology, biology, and some history.
Also Into the Kingdom of Ice by Hampton Sides is an incredible nonfiction book about a journey to the North Pole and how they new nothing about the North Pole.
My favorite author ever, is probably N. D. Wilson. He is an amazing writer who writes adventure stories almost as if it was poetry. His Ashtown Burials series is fantastic, so was 100 Cupboards. He has written some great Nonfiction books too.
Then there is Tolkien. He is awesome.
I like Terry Pratchett a lot, which is quite obvious.
Orson Scott Card wrote some amazing things but some awful things too so they even out. Ender's Game was good. It was about a boy who was worried that he is becoming a monster.
The Inheritance series is great.
Andrew Peterson has written a great series called the Wingfeather Saga. It is really good, though the first books are not as great as the last two. You have to read the full series to fully appreciate it, but its characters are great.
A. S. Peterson, Andrew's brother, wrote some great stuff too. The book's of his that I have read are about a privateer in the Revolutionary War, and they are great.
What's a book/book series that you really like but always have to preface with a comment, either becouse the author was revealed to be a horrible person (J. K. Rowling) or becouse they wrote a question plot-line in aforementioned book/book series (Cassandra Clare)?

Most things by Neil Gaiman, and the Trese, Manifest Destiny, and Concrete comics. Their stories have some rated R moments and so I am careful about who I recommend them too. Orson Scott Card is a great author but he has some disturbing stories and he doesn’t have enough self control in his writing.
I'm fry, and I make doodles. That's why they call me FRY DOODLES. Also no pressure but check out my YouTube channel (Fry Doodles) I'm a disabled, neurodivergent, artsy dumpster fire who's always open to chat. I'm a sensitive little sad bean, and somewhat of a clown. But, I'm also god's favorite princess and the most interesting girl in the world. Crafter of Constellations, vocaloid enjoyer, waluigi’s #1 fan, space alien, princess-of-quite-a-lot, and certified silly goose

The Game of Thrones novels also have some rated R moments, but they’re still great works of literature (at least books 1 through 3, 4 and 5 aren’t that good). Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time is good too.
