Nope. You can't divide by zero. x/0 is undefined.

let a = b and a,b =/= 0.

a = b
//multiply both sides by a

a^2 = ab

(a-b) * (a+b) = b(a-b)
//divide both sides by (a-b)

a + b = b

1 = 0

Now we can get crazy. Let x and y be real numbers.

So now we can make any number equal to another number. Want to do 3 = 5?
Well 3 = 3 + 2*0 = 3 + 2*1
Boom! 3 = 5

 Okay, so here is the cool thing. There is nothing wrong with this math as far as the formulas. But this anamoly is only the case when you subtract b² from a=b. In any other case, it is not so. I have seen this used to suggest we have done math all wrong all put lives but the case is this is one of the many faults in math itself. Math is not always accurate belive it or not. Nothing is perfect...even math. This is a strange paradox for this situation only. So the only thing wrong I have to say is 2 does not =1 no matter what math says, and neither does 3 =5. It's common sense. Often sticking to the basics keeps you rooted in reality.

Actually, I would like to restate that but more accurate. We humans are great at putting things in boxes, making categories and rules for the things we see around us in creation. It's in our nature and isn't bad. 

However, we can sometimes loose sight of the fact that this would is made by an infinite Creator, and he himself cannot be put into any kind of box, no category of any kind will encompass all he is.

Same goes for his creation. For example, we categorized things like animals, saying their mammals, and birds. Mammals can't lay eggs and mammary glands for giving their offspring food, while birds almost alwats throw it up for them. Then their is the platypus. Nobody has a box for this thing yet other than the box "other". It doesn't make sense to us. It is a mammal in make up, but not only the appearance of a birds, it lays eggs! It doesn't have mammary glands or throwing up food from a gizzard, no it sweats the milk through its skin and the babies lick it off the platypus!

I could use other examples around creation (like the realm of plants), but do you see my point? Math is just like the rest of this world...it can't be put into a box. Number have little paradoxes of their own, things that don't. Make sense but still happen. And their are other anamolies in math waiting to be discovered, strange moments in it where it's rules no longer follow reality. 

I think sometimes people forget what math is. Some say it is a universal constant of reality, and that math is reality, they use math to interpret and define reality. 

I believe it's the other way around, just like every thing else. We use reality to define what is true. Math may state technically 1=2 or 3=5, but no matter what math says, 1 apple isn't 2 apples. 3 pencils aren't 5 pencils. I love the study of math because of its consistency and reliability. But, it to has little mind blowing traits that don't match up with the rest of math, or our expectations. The world was made this way on purpose to cause us to look towards the creator, and recognize that we humans aren't the ones who make the rules and set the categories of this world...no...it is the infinite Creator of them all. 😁

Nah, I have no problem with math. But making it about philosophy to try and prove your point (which is arguably wrong) is something I don’t find much enjoyment in. No hate though.
