Clementine opens the door "Guys, i don't think were gonna be able to kill this pixie"
"Even if you could kill it it would just re-spawn. I could kill you right now and you would just re-spawn. This entire thing is just an endless loop of death. Die, come back, die again, repeat. Oh isn't it a wonderful world." Darklis says drearily.
“Oh really!? Do the… bits stay afterwards? Like if someone to… unfortunately perish, would the… body… be available?” Clementine says this slowly, carefully considering her words.
Darklis give Clementine a tired, slightly concerned look before answering, "If this is the same death game I have been in, no, there would not be anything left. We are basically living a shared dream. The Watchers keep our bodies in these sarcophagus things, put us in a coma, and play with our minds."

“Oh… that’s good…” Clementine seems more than slightly disappointed.
(ooc: let me know when you guys are in need of a new room and someone else to DM it for you!!
edit: I've been reading the previous few pages and people have been asking if anyone has a room. I have a room, if you guys are ok with me stepping in as a new DM for a minute!)
In the distance, you see a single entryway. It's a square doorframe, painted white, with what looks like a black mass of something that is impossibly dark covering the entrance. You can't see anything on the other side of the doorway. There is a bright neon sign, in the shape of an arrow, with the text "A Test of Classical Conditioning," on it, with alternating lightbulbs flashing on and off. You can't remember seeing that door there before; it's as if it appeared instantaneously.

Darklis approaches the door examining it and the flashing lights. She tries to see if there is any pattern to how the lights flash.

Approaching the door, you squint your eyes and crane your neck at the sign, trying to get a better look. The only thing that comes to mind is: Yep, that's a sign all right. You notice nothing else.

Zuli saunters over, “Magic and more magic. That’s all this blasted place is. Might as well go through: It’s not like we’ve got any better options.” She walks through the door.
You all watch on in wonder which soon turns to unease as you see your companion Zuli get swallowed up by the blackness. And like that, she's gone.
(ooc: 3 things; it would really be helpful if you all would include a brief description of your characters as you all interact with the door and whatever's on the other side! Also, if there's a spoiler, with your character's name on top, the content in the spoiler is meant for that character only. For example, only Aroc_of_Eaf should be looking at the spoiler below. It's then their decision whether or not to share the information in the spoiler with everyone else from that point on. There's nothing keeping other players from viewing the spoiler, but it's just something I picked up from another DM and I find it works well in a lot of situations. I also hope it's ok if I refer to both you guys (the players) and your characters as the same thing! If not, lmk!)
Zuli:
You push through the darkness, and it seems as if it's made of a strange, viscous liquid. Despite the unpleasant feeling of cold slime on your skin, you push through the other side. In front of you is yet another room, with matte black walls and a black floor. In the center of the room is a giant square net, with rigging going up to the ceiling. There's a single pie in the center of the net. It absolutely screams 'trap'.
On either side of the net there is a good 10 feet of space between it and the wall, providing enough space for you to walk next to the net without triggering it. On the other side of the room, there's another door---like the one you just walked into---with another sign with alternating lights. This one says something different, however: "A Test of Pattern Recognition".

Sure. Clementine is a tall-ish female elf wearing a lab coat with suspiciously long sleeves past her fingers. Their is countless folds, buckles, and straps. There is countless bottles and various preserves of creatures attached to the coat. She is not visibly armed. Her coat is covered in many, many, many blood stains. Some fresh, all different colors.

Zulu wrinkles her nose, "Can't kill something that isn't really here."
(I don't have a room right now...)
"not exactly true. it's only very hard to kill something that isn't really there"

Please do! That's what the thread is for!
I still haven't decided what character to play for the next bit! Might blow the dust off some old ones later on and join in for the next room!

Yes! A new room would be great! :)
Agreed.

“Oh, good! A door! Maybe it’s the way out!” Agnomally starts forward, her staff at the ready.
You could stay as Thoruk if you want- maybe didn’t actually escape! He could explain the situation with the rooms to the newcomers.
Only spilt the party if you see something shiny.
