Arthilas continues to hold the rock up until Zuli has made it back through with the treasure chest. "I am dropping it now!" he says then, looking at the others to see if he can safely let go of it.

The second Agnomally grabs a hold of the chest and lifts it off the ground, a sharp clicking noise echoes around the room. Suddenly, that entire portion of the room is engulfed in flames!!
Arthilas, because you're stationary, you get the worst of it, receiving 6 points of fire damage!
Agnomally, the flames singe your feet as you fly under the rock! You rake 6 points of fire damage!
Verdell, you can feel the immense heat coming from the flames, but you manage to deftly move away while still holding up the rock.
As soon as Agnomally and the rest are all out from under the stone, despite being a little burned both Arthilas and Verdell have no problems setting down the rock safely and quickly. Just in time too---any longer and the flame would have run down the hallway and incinerated you all. Luckily there doesn't seem to be anything else... including light. So, Darklis is still blind.
But a very faint light can be seen at the end of the hallway, from the room where you came through in the first place.

"Well, not sure what the point of that was." Darklis says glumly as she helps put the rock down. "I guess the only thing we can do is walk back towards that light....like moths to the flame."
Verdell pulls out and re-lights his sword, providing light so we can see what's goin' on. "Whatever's in the chest better be worth us almost getting crushed and then scorched...."

Paladin main who spends most of his D&D time worldbuilding or DMing, not Paladin-ing.
Armor/weapon/tool proficiencies: all armor & shields, simple weapons & longswords (I figured a level 8 character would probably have had enough downtime to learn how to use a single weapon; I wouldn't have added it if this thing weren't as casual as it is), and dragonchess set

As a fighter, wouldn't she have proficiency with all martial weapons? Obviously, there could be more to the character than we know (like how Zuli's definitely not a lycanthrope), but....

armor: light (also medium, heavy and shields, but he does not use them, he enjoys the freedom of movement that comes with fighting unarmored or in light armor)
weapons: simple, martial
tools: land vehicles (he's a sportsman after all, so of course he is familiar with chariot racing), dragonchess set (chess is sport too!)

Clementine moved out of the room! "Run!"

Dex-Save: 22 (rolled 22) Edit: Disadvantage. 14
Athletics: 26 (rolled 20)
I'd forgotten, but Arthilas, Darklis, Clementine, and Zuli should be adding 1d4 to all saves and attacks, because of Verdell's blessing.
Dex save: 16
More Athletics if necessary, though I don't know that it is: 15
Once everyone's though and the others holding the rock are ready, Verdell will also drop the rock.

2 to Arthilas's Dex save of 8 with disadvantage. Thanks for the reminder!

“Let’s see!” Agnomally opens the chest. (If it’s locked, she offers it to the group- she is definitely not a rogue)
Only spilt the party if you see something shiny.

“I’m very excited, we found a secret tunnel, got through two secret traps, it better be something worth hiding!”
“Me too!” (DM did ask about magic items…)

(That I did! But before I reveal what's in the chest... everyone roll a d20! Plain, without modifiers or adv/dis
And for future reference, since I don't have your character sheets, what are everyone's weapon, tools, and armor proficiencies?)
