Okay, so right now Kay and Thara are in the boat with the green ribbon and Harmony and Thoruk are in the one with the red ribbon.
Gamer Thirteen, you see a large cavernous room with a large lake in front of you. The stone ground tapers down to the shore, where a Dragonborn has brought three row boats close enough for everyone to wade to. The water is emitting a soft blue glow.
Kay, and Harmony, please make a perception check.
Adran, are you still in the water? If not, please make a perception check as well.
no adran is in the red boat
Alright, so... any buckles that you are wearing have rusted away (since you waded to the boats).
Kay thinks for a moment, then looks at the oars, "Well, this riddle is clearly talking about oars. I'm not sure how they could kill us." She calls to Harmony and Adran and relays the riddle to them, "Is there more writing at the front of your boats?"
At the sound of Krogar's boot's splashing into the water, Kay turns to look at him, "What was that about?"
“Yeah- we need to be still and quiet when the water is. What does the other boat say?” Harmony leans over to look at the green ribbon boat.
When you look at the boat with the blue ribbon, you immediately see the small inscription. It reads: "From deepest depths I call to thee, but you must never come to me. For if you disturb the glassy case, all your lives will be erased."
Krogar, in order to get to the boat, you had to wade through the water--which is glowing blue. The water came just above your ankles before you reached the boat. After Kay helps you in, and you look warily downward towards the shimmering water, you notice...
Your plate boots and the bottom edges of your greaves appear to have small reddish spots blossoming on them at a rapid pace.
"Oh no! Is that rust? Can't be..." Krogar pokes one of the spots.
Sure enough, when you poke one of the reddish spots, it crumbles away leaving a red-edged hole in your armor which continues to spread.
"AAH! RUST MONSTER!!" Krogar has a traumatic flashback to when the rust monster ate his shield. He pulls the boots off and throws them into the river.

In the distance, your boots sink down into the depths. Two black spots in the otherwise glowing lake. If you strain your eyes, you see them slowly disintegrate as they descend.
"Well, I guess it could have been worse." She takes the buckles off and ties the leather to keep her belts on. "Well is everyone ready to go?"
"I'm ready, but make sure to keep ye're metal out the river." Krogar says, looking sadly at his socks.
Hi! So sorry I’ve been gone for the last few days. I’m in a class field trip. Anyway, it’s not officially done for another 2 days but I’m checking in anyway.
Angelino looks very wary at all the water rust going on. They jump in the boat with Kay “I know we’ve had our differences, but it seems like you know how to do all this ‘boat’ stuff. Can we cooperate and not die? Water is one of my fears… along with blood… and sharp objects… and all the others” Angelino trails into talking about fears before realizing people are listening.
“Stop listening peasants! I’m not afraid of anything! At alllllll!!!!!”

Kay looks at Angelino intensely. She almost sympathizes with him and her gaze softens a little as he continues. However once they start yelling about not being afraid of anything, her gaze hardens again. She sighs rolls her eyes then says, “Whatever, you can ride with us. But. Remember, I am the captain, as long as you’re in this boat, you listen to me.” She points at him. “I’m not saying this because I don’t like you. I’m saying this to keep us all safe. So, as you said before, let’s put our differences aside and not die.”
She looks at the rest of her crew. “Thara, you can take the back set of oars since your the heaviest... no offense. Angelino, you sit next to Krogar. George, you sit behind me. I’ll take the front oars. I’ll call to Thara if I see anything we need to avoid.”
She looks over to the other boat. “Alright Thoruk, lets race to the flat spot, once we get there, stop rowing, and take your oars out of the water.”

All color leaves Angelino’s face loses all color, they look terrified. And as soon as Kay is done talking he says “i am the captain now…” under his breath. He then try’s to unsuccessfully keep themselves together with laughter.
if it wants us to be as still as the water then we can only row when the water is disturbed. . .
adran will cast fire bolt at the water to make it ripple
The fireball strikes the water in a sizzling splash, sending up steam as it is absorbed by the glowing water. You manage to make a large splash, which is slowly evened out by the smaller natural waves (which, by the way, are moving away from you).

*sorry stuff happened at home, I just decided to not go on for a few days, then forgot to fo the others.*
Thara, despite not hearing half the stuff that happened *due to 2 perception rolls of 3* still heard the orders & begrudgingly took orders and let out "It fine, muscle weight." *STR of 19, 17 + 2 from dragonborn.*

Right now I think we have...
Green boat: Kay, Thara, Krogar, and Angelino
Red boat: Adran, Harmony, and Thoruk
Blue boat...empty?
George is in the Green boat as well
Lol, I knew that, I just missed him when writing the names out... The green boat is just about at its limit, and is sitting lower in the water than the red boat is.

As soon as the green boat enters the flat spot, Kay will call for Thara to stop rowing an lift the oars out of the water. (Kay already took her's out)
Also, who won the race? Lol, what do we need to roll for that?
Ah, okay, the blue one then.
Only spilt the party if you see something shiny.
Ariendela Sneakerson, Half-elf Rogue (8); Harmony Wolfsbane, Tiefling Bard (10); Agnomally, Gnomish Sorcerer (3); Breeze, Tabaxi Monk (8); Grace, Dragonborn Barbarian (7); DM, Homebrew- The Sequestered Lands/Underwater Explorers; Candlekeep

"Well, I guess it could have been worse." She takes the buckles off and ties the leather to keep her belts on. "Well is everyone ready to go?"
"Ready!"
Thoruk has the oars in hand, leaning over and poised. You get the feeling he thinks it is a race.
